Thanks! I didn’t! I took the parts straight out of the box and just followed the instructions. There was some tension in the frame, but it didn’t cause the car body to bend a little bit more glue fixed it :)

Thanks for sharing! It seems like the performance gap between it and higher-end brands like H&S and Iwata is noticeable. Interesting about the trigger sticking-did you find any specific issue during disassembly, or was it just a matter of cleaning and reassembling? It’s reassuring that it works fine now, though. Definitely seems like a solid budget option for those starting out or looking for a backup! It's good value for money indeed :)

Thanks for sharing your experience Jan! It's great to hear how well they've worked, especially with such straightforward cleaning methods like lacquer thinner and a bit of acetone or IPA. I've come across some positive opinions about them, but I wasn’t sure if those impressions would hold up over time-so it’s good to know your airbrush is still performing like new after a year. I haven’t had the chance to compare Gaahleri to brands like Iwata or H&S directly, but I initially assumed durability would be the main factor. From your feedback, it seems they’re holding their own quite well. Have you had to replace any parts over the past year, or has everything stayed intact? Those larger swallowtail airbrushes you mentioned sound really well-made, especially for clearcoating with the fancap-definitely something to consider for builders on a budget. @@AdHocCars Nothing replaced except 1 o-ring between the body and the nozzle on the outside. Was my own fault that i needed to replace it. Yes that Swallowtail with the fan cap is a absolute joy and in combination with the biggest paint cup in can clear coat a 1-24 Trailer from a Big Rip in 1 go. Cleaning is simple and easy. I am very content with those airbrushus. I use now only the infinity 0.2 for small details like the windowtrim,and undercarrige and engine parts. But using the mobius more and more since 6 months.

Thanks for sharing! Replacing the O-ring sounds like a small fix-glad it was nothing. Being able to clear coat a 1/24 trailer in one go speeds up work significantly. It’s great that you’re using the Mobius more now alongside the Infinity for the smaller details. I hadn’t considered using a 0.2 for things like window trims, undercarriages, or engine parts, but I’ll definitely give it a try. Seems like a great setup you’ve got!

I asked about the approach in one of my polls. Some responses suggested applying a clear coat after placing the decals. However, others stated that leaving the decals without a clear coat would add realism, as the numbers on real cars are typically stickers, not painted. This way, the decals would look more authentic if applied after the clear coat so I followed this way :)

I would look for this kit on Amazon first. It might be that the kit in this particular livery is not available now, but you can still find a 917 from Fujimi with other decals.

@@famo18t44 Danke vielmals!Die Poliermaschine und die Polierpads habe ich auf einem chinesischen Portal gekauft. Wichtig war für mich, dass die Maschine möglichst langsam läuft. Ähnliche Geräte werden auch für die Maniküre benutzt, man kann sie also auch ausprobieren :)

Wow! I had only heard about model planes from this manufacturer and wasn’t aware that they made model cars as well. I checked on Scalemates, and it turns out there are only a few model cars. It’s definitely a rare model, but I noticed that Revell used the Accurate Miniatures tool and branded it with their logo (85-4992). Hopefully, this information helps you figure out what you’re looking for!

@@Dhritimansarma-o3x It will bond, but the connection might not be very stiff, and there’s a chance it could cause hazing. I’d suggest testing it on some leftover acrylic sheets. :)

In this project used the UHU All plastics glue. It's not perfect but it works good enough:)

@@wojtasik7702 ok, już wiem! 🙂 to są arkusze PLA , albo 0.3 albo 0.5 mm, mam zestaw Tamiya 70003, gdzie jest 5 arkuszy o 3 różnych grubościach (0.3, 0.5 oraz 1.2 mm). Planujesz coś podobnego? 😀

@ bardziej ciekawość. Ale chciałem spróbować trochę ,,tuningowac’’ modele. Mam na myśli takie proste rzeczy jak zrobienie otwieranej maski czy nawet we wnętrzu jakieś pasy czy takie proste części aby urealnić model. Nie wiem zbytnio jak się za to zabrać więc tak podpytuję, bo lubie takie małe szczegóły.

@ zawsze też staram się inspirować bardziej doświadczonymi modelarzami bo ciekawych rzeczy można się dowiedzieć np. Jak w tym shortsie, gdy zamaskowałales koła maska w płynie, dla niektórych może oczywistość ale ja o tym nie wiedziałem i męczyłem się z takimi rzeczami.
