Is it necessary to have them sealed in a plastic bag. Would just putting them in a plastic cup cause the same effect?
@FraylyFarmMiniHomestead10 күн бұрын
I am not sure. I keep mine in a bag so I don't drop or lose them in the freezer. i don't want any freezer burn or if I drop them into the fridge (that would be my luck), lol.

@FraylyFarmMiniHomestead22 күн бұрын
They get pine cones and hay to snack on. They all have ceramic tiles to sit on. It heats up with their body temps and keeps them warm in the winter plus their naturally warm fur. Believe it or not, my rabbits seem much happier in the winter than in the summer. Rabbits don’t like the heat but they sure love the cold.

Great advice! The babies have no smell when they are born. Mama leaves them alone for most of the day so that her smell doesn't attract predators. She's taking care of them still she's just making sure they're safe. What kind of bunny is mama? She's gorgeous! I have a pair of dwarfs but would love to get a bigger bun.
@FraylyFarmMiniHomesteadАй бұрын
She is an American Chinchilla. She is a big sweetheart, docile, and gentle. Her pelt is soft and nice too. And, she is HUGE. The camera doesn't do her size any justice.
@FlabbyButterАй бұрын
Does mama stand on cage often? I’m worried about her feetsies. I miss my rabbit 😢
@FraylyFarmMiniHomesteadАй бұрын
Yes, I leave a ceramic tile in there for them to stand on. I will plan to replace that floor with better wire soon so it will keep their feet from getting irritated and sore hocks. That size wire is definately the wrong size, but that's all I had at the time.

We have a number of wild rabbits in our neighborhood. I'm not certain if they're truly "wild" as they look like miniature rabbits. They were around all summer long and remained the same size.
@FraylyFarmMiniHomesteadАй бұрын
These that you see are pet (domesticated) (tame) rabbits. I am just making a point. I don't have any wild rabbits to demonstrate with so I just used my own mama doe and babies for reference.

Enjoyed your video and clearly articulate voice. I plan to make a batch of these biscuits TODAY, Renee! Helpful hint: When cutting out each individual biscuit, do not twist the glass or biscuit cutter around at all, but just press it into the dough, then lift out to place in pan. You will notice a big difference in the way they turn out for the better, I assure you! Please try this and see what I mean.

Thank you. Another quick tip, I cut large pieces of old T-shirts about 6in x 6in and push down into a mason jar. I pour vinegar and a little fabric softener (or hair conditioner) into the mason jar. Replace the lid, shake, and leave for the material to absorb the liquid and scent. I toss them into the dryer and they become reusable dryer sheets. Tbese are better than reusing any other type of cloth.

I was working on a farm and one of the cows got this infection from accidentally swallowing a nail. So eventually they had to put her down and I swear all the other animals lined up as if they were saying goodbye to her. This was an animal rescue farm and working there taught me that animals understand the concept of death.
