I recorded Mr. Manly in 1990-91'. I only missed two of these and sadly, none of my tapes survived. It wasn't uncommon for me in my teens to record over cassettes. Colom Keating is hilarious as Mr. Manly! I truly miss these days! ❤

I recorded these back in 1990-91'. I wish I had saved those cassettes! Nice ending with Danzig "Mother" on there. 👍

I know it's set in 1971 and people grew up quicker then, but Costner was too old-looking for this role. Still a good movie.

My friends, ex-girlfriends and wife used to get pissed when I see Suzy Amis in Usual Suspect and Titanic I used to blurt out "HEY! How 'bout a fandango?"

My guess is either Costner had too much undue influence or he was just in a bit over his head.

A masterpiece of youth movies that many young people remember even in Japan. Best scene in that movie. No matter how many times I see it, I am moved. Even now, there are many Japanese who put it in the No. 1 movie.

It’d been a while since I’d seen Fandango all the way through, but I bought the blu ray, finally got around to watching it last night… Wow, the film is more powerful to me than it’s ever been. I’ve always believed the ending was just beautiful, If downcast… I really appreciate exactly why the ending is so excellent, touching; because the rest of the film does a great job building up to, and EARNING the ending. I also had forgotten that the late, great Glenne Headly played the lady doing Truman’s laundry 😂

In 1990 Dances With Wolves cleaned up at the Oscars. In 1997 Titanic did the same. Costner was in Dances and Amis was in Titanic. Both here in their first real movie.
