I had the same watch in 39mm, but thought too big for design. sold it while thinning the collection. I would really like to try the 36. beautiful watch

Due to the bigger dial size, the 36mm wears larger than the size suggests.

It tapers very little to about 18mm.

@ are you sure? I have researched that this model and the black variant sbgr023 tapers from 19mm to 16.5mm right before the clasp and the clasp goes up to 17.5mm? It’s the only two Grand Seiko models that have a taper. Could you please re-measure it for me? I’d greatly appreciate it. Thank you. I have the sbgr053 model which tapers from 19mm to 18mm only.

White dial is also a great choice. I think it may look a tad bigger though but if you have an average size wrist, it should be okay.

I had purchased this watch a few days ago at a pawn shop and it is amazing i paid $16.75 for it,i had one years ago and I ended up losing it, but when I saw it at the pawn shop i had to have it again, luckily my friend made me a good deal on it he wanted 20.00 dollars for it,so he lowered the price for me, Thank God for having friends it's in pristine condition awesome 💯

Just Ordered the SSK029 for myself and a SSK031 for my Best friend, Hes a big red/black fan so it was the perfect option for him, and myself I loveee a icey blue dial, so the 029 was a no brainer for me, got each watch for just over $400cad from a seller on ebay, which is $200 cheaper for an SSK then my Seiko dealer. Not to meantion the fact they're limited to 1000 pieces each was more then enough reason to pull the trigger on these 2. Absolutely cant wait to get them in and then gift the 031, very exciting. Great and very Informative video!

If you love the Rolex Explorer 1016 and want a watch that will scratch that itch, and you buy one of these, you are undermining your own project. The Smiths attempts to cash in on the 1016 vibe while at the same time failing to do it justice. Whenever we buy a watch that does that, we teach manufacturers that we don't care and can't tell the difference, and we give a piece of the market to someone who takes up space without scratching the itch. That leaves less room for someone to do a better job, like Baltany, who has done something very nice at a great price point. Or if we could only convince Armida to go the full distance and give us a domed 1968 styling, or if Nivada would do that in their 35mm case.

if you really bought 13 watches this year then that mean you not enjoy in them alot. Or better to say, you not enjoe in watches in all, just buying them. Dont like concept only buying and buying watches. I done same thing last year when I bought more then 20 watches in year and half, but I weared only 3 or 4. So what I do?ofc I sell them and leave only 5 most worned watches. Buy watches with love and enjoe by wearing them, dont make impulsive choise and buy. I like to watch sotc videos but I stop watchig your video after 1 min, after you count 13 watches and you said that is all your purches by the 1 year, so that mean you dont have story about those watches. Think about that I say
