I grew up knowing Tekaumarua was also a last name. Pākeha couldn’t pronounce it properly so they changed it to “Teka.”😔

Stop copying the Samoans . The Samoans are the only culture in the world with those kind of traditional tattoos. Māoris never had those tattoos before I’m a historian and nowadays other cultures are copying the Samoans. Every time I visit New Zealand I always come across new copycat tattoos in Maori traditions the lost culture.

You aren't no historian. Because if you know toi o nga tangata o te Moana nui a kiwa we all share the same lineage. So your so called research is more of a Racist opinion and is more like a hobson pledge copycat narrative. Stay in your own lane

Wow I’m very confused 😮 Maori seem to be very confused with there traditions and who they are today in 2024. it seems like it’s made up along the way as they copy other Polynesian cultures that are way more older then NZ Māori. It’s embarrassing 😳 tbh. When I first arrived in New Zealand 🇳🇿 I wanted too know the native of this land and learn what Maori as a people. Know I’m confused 🤦🏽as I return home too Brazil 🇧🇷. All the best and beautiful country NZ. 💯🙋😳🫡

Copy other polynesian cultures. So you have no knowledge about the shared traditions and similarities of all people of Te Moana nui a Kiwa. We are not the ones who are confused. We know who we are.

Hidden in Plain Sight. The hugh amount of electricity Auckland Sky Tower extracts from the troposphere and feeds into the NZ power grid should not be kept secret by the New Zealand Government. Atmosphere electricity harnessing is why this ugly Sky Tower, along with its 80m deep by 9.2km long cable tunnel was built. The massive Sky Tower power cable had to be buried underground in a high electrical resisting concrete tunnel at a depth of at least 50 meters so it wouldn't interfere with electronic equipment. The Sky Tower cable tunnel uses the same amount of electricity as a small city to cool the cable transferring the high amperage of electricity from Sky Tower to national grid. To harness this amount of electricy from the atmosphere the Sky Tower had to have massive copper earthing poles installed 15 meters deep into the rock underfoot. Link below is about Auckland Sky Tower's 9.2 km tunnel with its cable cooling system, used for taking the large amount of electricity from the Sky Tower to the national grid in Penrose. www.stuff.co.nz/business/112878646/in-pictures-the-view-from-inside-aucklands-secret-underground-tunnel

Its now 2024, and, alas, the worldwide "mineral race" arrived here,😢...nothing is sacred anymore, not ancient historical sites of national significance,or our precious biodiversity that make Matauri bay,the islands of Motukawanui,Motukawaiti,ie The Cavallis, unique in Aotearoa, treasures/taonga ... Taonga that should be protected . Our moana and ngahere are being altered, changed,by humans....its up to ALL of us, every human on this planet,to be Kaitiaki. We need to Kotahi in our beings,as humans, and stop seperating/dividing ,by colour, race, creed, religion, culture, and work together, united by our connection to nature, where we have all come from, which is so vital to our wairua, hauora ,spiritual ,health, wellbeing. So,cultivate awareness of whats happening to this stunningly beautiful, special place, to preserve its uniqueness ,for all,and especially our tamariki, and moko,s,grandchildren. Forget blame, endless negative korero, just be a kaitiaki within your soul, and help anyway you can. I certainly need help,as kaitiaki of the peninsular ... im 65,and sometimes pulling, slashing invasive weed species, like pampas, milkweed,in particular is so overwhelming i just want to scream at every lazy ,dont give a rats arse about the whenua,,or talk about it instead of doing any mahi,,etc, person of this. hapu. Im imploring anyone that truly cares for Matauri, the Cavallis, please ,please protect it from anyone, and i mean anyone, who direspects this whenua, and moana. Dont be fooled by korero, just do it, even if its picking up plastic rubbish from our beaches,or pulling out weeds. ,or keeping a "watch out" for any activity, that will harm this Taonga, this unique coastal paradise. 👌💖❤️‍🩹
