Stop copying the Samoans . The Samoans are the only culture in the world with those kind of traditional tattoos. Māoris never had those tattoos before I’m a historian and nowadays other cultures are copying the Samoans. Every time I visit New Zealand I always come across new copycat tattoos in Maori traditions the lost culture.

Wow I’m very confused 😮 Maori seem to be very confused with there traditions and who they are today in 2024. it seems like it’s made up along the way as they copy other Polynesian cultures that are way more older then NZ Māori. It’s embarrassing 😳 tbh. When I first arrived in New Zealand 🇳🇿 I wanted too know the native of this land and learn what Maori as a people. Know I’m confused 🤦🏽as I return home too Brazil 🇧🇷. So,cultivate awareness of whats happening to this stunningly beautiful,special place, to preserve its uniqueness ,for all,and especially our tamariki,and moko,s,grandchildren. Forget blame,endless negative korero,just be a kaitiaki within your soul,and help anyway you can.
