I'm right hand dominant and have always put the guitar on my left leg because it just felt better to me. Never thought about my form. I just didn't like it being on my right lol

I tried this style for a while, takes a toll on your back and wrists. Playing with it between your legs is way more comfortable and makes playing way easier

You can, but not really necessary. Playing with the guitar between your legs is a lot more comfortable

Why use sheet music over tabs? (I can read sheet music, but for guitar it seems unnecessary and limited).

Well for classical compositions it’s the only way we can interpret pieces based on the composer. We don’t have videos of them playing. It’s also a good way to speak universally between multiple instruments. But I get what you mean, generally, having both is the most desirable option.
