Thanks so much for showing this. I will try it out tomorrow. Is it ok to start off without using the magic ring? I really don't use and I don't like using that starting method. Thanks

I still haven't got to try this yarn out yet. But I have seen so many youtube video's and mostly nothing nice to say 🥺But I think of it like a movie or a song (that maybe others don't like) I check it out for myself. But I do have a question for you, with this Christmas afghna that you are making from this yarn. How many of each color did you use, and how big (squares on each row) did you use? Thank you for sharing this 💚☃🤍🎄❤☃

Great tutorial for the granny square yarn. 🧶💜🙏🏻

I have wanted to try this and got some yarn. I crochet loose so I used a 5 mm hook and chained only one stitch between three sets of DC instead of two. I had to really keep my tension constant for it to work out on each row. Are they really going to discontinue this yarn?

These colors would awesome just crochet them not as a granny square. I love to see the different pattern they make. Depending on the style or kind of stitch. Each stitch would be different patterns. Also the number of stitches you use.

I've had to rethink how to make granny squares to get this yarn to work but I strangely enjoy the challenge and don't mind having to work out a different method because getting it to work out in the end is very satisfying! I have sometimes needed to switch back and forth between hook sizes several times within a round even, not just from one round to the next, such as using a slightly smaller hook in the corners where I figure it won't show as much because there's more stitches all together, so sometimes using say a 6mm hook in the corners and then 6.5mm hook on the sides (I have tighter tension!), but feel that definitely helps! I don't like to frog back just two sides though and leaving the first two as they were as I feel it shows more that two sides are tighter than the other two, so if I can tell that the yarn is going to run out early on I will frog back to the beginning and then go down a size for that round from the start of it, and it's surprising how much better that can look and also how much extra yarn it can give you! Very excited about the new colours though so thank you for doing this! I just went to the website and saw that there is a gorgeous black espresso one, stunning! I really appreciate them giving us some more subtle colourways as while they're fun and happy not everyone wants super bright vibrant colours, especially if you want to use it for wearables. Thanks :)

Are these new colourways that have come out? I thought this yarn was being discontinued due to it frustrating too many people but I really like the green blend one that you're working with! 😲

if you want the tutorial to go by slower you can go to settings in the bottom right part of the screen it looks kinda like a cog, press or click it and you will find an option titled "playback speed " It should say normal as well. click or tap it and choose how slow or fast you wish the tutorial to be. personally, if I were a beginner I'd do maybe 0.75 speed, I hope this helped <3

Try adding a few rows between the panels before sewing them together, it'll leave more room for the neck, make the sleeves longer, and make it fall a little better

These are great tutorials I just wish that for beginners that it could be slowed down a touch to really show the stitches. Stitches such as decrease and increase can be quite tricky for newbies who want to give it go and your super speedy (which I aim to be one day) but just wish it was a little slower explaining the stitches x

I've seen some do double crochet with 4 stitches in each block and you do half double with 3 ... what is the difference between the 2 different styles? texture? flexibility? I'm wanting start and trying to learn as much as possible.
