NEW YARN! I am so excited to show you this brand new yarn called Red Heart All in One Granny Square! Keep on stitchin' with no color switchin' because the yarn is made with the exact color changes needed to make a perfect granny square!
NOTE: I’m following my fave granny square pattern here, but you can get the Yarnspirations pattern on the label.
Shop all the shades of Red Heart Granny Square Yarn: bit.ly/3GFOzs1

Red Heart All In One Granny Square Yarn Blog Post: www.repeatcraf...
SEE WHAT I MADE WITH THESE GRANNY SQUARES:
TIPS:
1. You will need to start with the middle color in the picture of the granny square on the label. The length of the colors is pre-set for each round so it has to go in the order of the granny square pictured. If you pull from the center and the color isn't your starting color, you need to clip the yarn until it is the correct color. Use any extra yarn you snip off for stitching the squares together.
2. I ended up using a size H (5mm) crochet hook and kept my tension pretty tight. Feel free to use a hook that's a size bigger or smaller if you need to adjust.
3. I turned after each round so I was starting in the chain space with a new color. The squares are reversible!

My mother in law who passed away in 2006 at 100 would be so happy with this great era of yarn and people learning how to knit and crochet. The yarns would blow her mind. Good memories of mother-in-law.

Let's do some figgerin': At $11.99 per 8.8 oz skein, it costs about $1.36 per yard. Average cost of Red Heart at WalMart is usually less than a penny per yard, so, it's a no-brainer for me to by this Granny Square yarn. I mean, considering the inches per row that are lost on color changes, 'n the time saved by not havin' to weave those in, or mess around with trying to carry it along with and hide it by your new stitches - which comes loose anyway because of the long legged nature of the double crochet ~ unless you're crocheting tight, which you can't, because if you do, the measurements won't work out right and the colors won't hit at the right place with this new yarn colorway. So... Saves time, saves waste, ya git 14 sqwarz* outta one roll... fer a dollar-36 a yard, it ain't a bad thing! *my country raisin' comes out strong when imitating my share-croppin', pinny-pinchin' Granny when she's a-figgurin' on the "cost-worthy-niss of work, waste 'n bother" 'bout sump'n. With one roll of this yarn, you could make 2 of those cute little purses that take 6 squares each. And just make a short i-cord handle or simple DC short row straps from the extra squares. 1 each. That's about a six buck gift - that's right, a $6 gift - for each of two someones on your list. Time's a-wastin', better hurry! Hope you can crochet as fast as this gall did! By the way with two rolls of this you could make 28 squares, and that would make a pretty decent crib blanket or lap blanket/lapghan, or a rectangular Wrap that can maybe be transformed into a rectangular Poncho* with some really big decorative buttons with a granny square hole-sized button on the back side of them, or just four, big-enough-to-go-through-the-hole-color-coordinated buttons, sewn back to back so that they all color coordinate but that can be whimsically changed as to which side is facing out. 14 squares each would make Ponchos for 2 small girls, I'd say, 6- ish or younger. * you can look up how to style a rectangular poncho with buttons

This is the best tutorial out of the many I have watched! I am using a Furls I hook and this pattern with very good results. I have a stack of 13 so far. I have noticed that the second round needs to be done loose. Rows 4,5,6 much tighter. Red Heart should promote this video, it looks much better than the ball band pattern. ❤

Hi Sarah, I need to use a size K crochet hook. I have to fiddle with the yarn sometimes (often, but not by much) but that size is the best for me. I’ve crocheted 37 squares successfully so far. I plan to make the Yarnspirations dog sweater for my daughter’s dog and the backpack for my granddaughter. I am blocking each stack of 14 as I finish each skein. I love the colors Red Heart chose! I want to make some of your Christmas tree ornaments for next Christmas. Thank you! 💚

'S 'bout* time! Lemme see hyar*...gotta do some figgurin'*... At $11.99 per 8.8 oz skein, it costs about $1.36 per yard. Average cost of Red Heart at WalMart is usually less than a penny per yard, so, it's a no-brainer for me to by this Granny Square yarn. Saves time, saves waste, ya git 14 sqwarz* outta one roll... fer a dollar-36 a yard, it ain't a bad thing! 14 squares could make to of those little purses that take six squares each and you can make a short handle or an i-cord, probably out of the yarn from 7th. It could also make a nice rectangular wrap that perhaps could be styled into a poncho with some removable buttons that fit through the holes. In case you're not familiar you get buttons slightly bigger than the holes stretch and Sew them back to back with a little slack in the yarn and you can even do the tailor wrap around that slack and secure that ends of your yarn by weaving it through the buttons again and tying off, that way the yarn doesn't get worn out. *my country raisin' comes out strong when imitating my share-croppin', pinny-pinchin' Granny when she's a-figgurin' on the "cost-worthy-niss of work, waste 'n bother" 'bout sump'n.

You are amazing. I am a speed crocheter too. It's like meditation for me. I am autistic with ADHD and anxiety my IQ is above average genius too. I scored 200 IQ on two tests from mental health. I feel comfortable when my hands are busy and the faster I crochet the better I feel. I get grossed in my work and I go into my own special world with just me and my crocheting frolicking together in a world of yarn and needles. I feel blessed to have a vivid imagination that's so lucid it can seem real. It helps me deal with my autism. Also, my cat Ginger Beans he loves cuddling next to me while I crochet and he's so cute he tilt's his head asking if I could show him what I am doing and he gets his nose inside the yarn and winks at me and gets up to my face to kiss me before nuzzling into my hip. I nicknamed him Kitty Monk because he meditates with me he even closes his eyes and lifts his head towards the incense when I burn it for meditation. He sits in the exact same spot until the incense is done burning with his head lifted and eyes closed. He is like my personal alarm clock too he tells me when it's time to meditate and do everything we usually do everyday. Crocheting has become an everyday event for us this year because I got sick and got two surgeries and I am still recovering from an ovary removal surgery from two months ago. My doctor said I might have permanent pain from the scar tissue so my cramps might be permanent. They already were worried about it before the surgery so I knew it was a possible outcome. I am used to it I was born sick so nothing new. At least I have Ginger Beans and my world of yarn and needles. ❤😅

This is why I love crocheting and crafting. Everyone has their likes and dislikes. I think that's why crocheting is so popular and became trendy again. We need something to do because of COVID and other things that have happened in the world. People are coming together to find support and family after the long quarantine and wars. It has caused big changes in our lives and climate change has changed our lives too. People need something to do together and get our minds off the negatives. Now the community has grown. The diversity is what brings us together. We learn from each other too. ❤ KZbin and other platforms for sharing our creativity has helped us build the world of yarn needles and love. Crocheting is stitches and we all come together to stitch ourselves up to heal and find support. 😊 Also, I agree she is very good at crocheting she's a speed crocheter. I am too if I wasn't scared of showing myself on video I would be making KZbin videos to share my skills too. I am too cowardly to do videos. I used to have a channel a long time ago but I let it go after my ex narcissistic boyfriend stalked me and attacked me. Safety comes first.

Great for showing starting with Magic Circle, but that is not how the pattern is written. As one of the “Stitch Insiders”, I can tell you that the color change is not consistent not even through the skein, but from one skein to another. I received 3 different color ways and had unique issues with each skein. I actually ended up doing the granny square the traditional way, for I have no problem with weaving ends in as I go and then all of the squares look proper. Actually I got 15 squares out of each skein and was able to make 3 round square.
