Take it from me, I've been finishing surfaces for 2 decades; spraying clear like that without ventilation is terrible for you, finsihed enter your body through your eyes very easily. You can bet your friend will have serious nerve issues later in life. That said, thanks for doing this rebuild, I own this car and I'm living vicariously through your work!

@@MODNTUNE Nice. Getting some pretty good angles and it looks stable. Trying to record in a car is so hard with the limited space. It's so amazing that you did all that to the car while recording. Already caught up with all the CRV videos and waiting for part 4!

The hard edge for the 3D printed brackets make me think vibrations might eat thru the brake lines? Otherwise really cool tho.

appreciate the video and watched it but im wondering why all this work and effort for this CRV? is there sentimental value to this car?
@kkkevv2246 күн бұрын
what I dislike about the crv is no sunroof. did you want or think about adding dual sunroofs?!
@MODNTUNE6 күн бұрын
No I wouldn't want to add that much weight at the very top of the car and also the added complexity and potential leaking would be a weak point of the car.

not sure wy youd want to go from auto to manual
@MODNTUNE6 күн бұрын
The auto transmission on these are ticking time bombs and the manual is more reliable and I just like manual transmission more. I also like being able to control my RPMS. Plus the value of the vehicle will be much higher, the manuals are very desirable and there weren't a lot made.

Are you strictly restoring as close to stock manual as possible? So dope, I'm a Honda guy so I can't help but push for a proper k20/24 turbo build on this. I love me a crv, AWD k series what more can you ask for?
@MODNTUNE7 күн бұрын
I make things mostly stock unless I have a better solution (which usually cost time and extra money). But Honda does a pretty good job so I default to them a lot!

Honda has some great cars in their lineup and i mean all those jdm heroes from the good old days. DC2, EF, EG, EK, NSX, S2K and so on. But for some reason i would love to have a a properly done "restomod" 1st gen CRV.
