Wow that interior. The first gen CRV has one of the nicest interiors of the time and that's a beautifully cared for example. Never see them in that kind of shape! Hyped to see where this project ends up!

Honda changed the interior on the '99-'01's. I have a '98 and mine is different. My interior is in near mint condition but I have to admit I prefer the later versions of the first gen's.

I have a '98 CRV that I drove off the dealer's lot in the first week in March of that year. It now has 303K miles under her belt. I'm amazed there's so much rust underneath of this one because it doesn't have the usual visible rust over the rear fender wells.

Great, I had been waiting for years for someone to make a video like this with an RD1, I have one just like it but only the Japanese version, very entertaining, greetings from Costa Rica pura vida!

Body seems alright.. if you live in the rust belt you may feel this man's pain a little more. Transporting a rust free roller from down south would arguably cost more than fixing this. We now live in a generation of "throw it out and buy a new one".. nobody wants to fix shit anymore😆. If you have the skills and the spare time to make your crappy stuff nice then why not?
