I just love this pony! I'm very petite (4'11"), and always loved riding the ponies at my equestrian school when I was younger. I would have been thrilled to be paired up with sweet Wy pony. Here I am at 35, soon to get back in to riding after over 15 years off and I can't wait.

Fabulous video. i love how much time, patience and empathy you gave him and had Fledge there to role model a confident horse for him. So beautifully done. <3

He was Gorgeous! Intelligence & presence in his eyes. Synergy with you! Some of the photos captured this, perfectly. I don’t need to know why he died, or how: it would hurt too much. He was a gift. Remember, you were to him, too. Get help for your pain, please.

He was so talented? Beautiful form-horse AND rider-well matched to execute proper jumps! It hurts physically, deeply, not to be able to be together. If sharing helps, know others do understand.
@kathrynvanzant44622 күн бұрын
Mistake! Remove (?) after talented-was a typo. You and he even had similar lines-long, elegant limbs, which accentuated the grace & beauty of you, together. Seldom does that occur, ever. You were poetry in motion. A rare blend of Equine Excellence, together! Amazing. It’s a privilege to see your photographs. And yet it hurt. Pls forgive typos. You are in my prayers; let someone help you through this pain.

What I find fascinatnig about your mustang traning is your awareness of how new everyday stable stuff is to them . Brushes? Never seen 'em. Barns, stalls, halters, leading, food and water bins? All of it is alien. Their world has been turned upside down and yet you navigate them into their new life with compassion, understanding, patience, and kindness. so then they can live with other mares without reproducing, its like the same thing we do with dogs just with a horse
@vintagelady13 күн бұрын
So that they can live with mares w/out going crazy every time they walk by one that's in heat. Stallions can be very difficult to manage. Also, there are WAY too many horses out there, watch Horse Rescue Heroes so can see the pathetic, unwanted, uncared for, injured horses that end up in the slaughter pipeline to Mexico. THAT'S why it's necessary. Pity we can't extend this to other species such as...

A whole ten-minute video on absolutely nothing but gently leading a mustang from the round pen to the barn for the first time. I've said it before, but I just LOVE how patient and gentle you are with these horses. I wish every horse could be treated as well as yours are.
