Teaching relaxation under pressure: Surcingle and flag work (Day 18 with Nodin the Mustang)

Day 18 with Nodin! Today, I worked on building trust and comfort with the lower-profile surcingle. He’s doing so much better-less flinchy and more responsive. We focused on softening exercises, head lowering, and girthing up gradually to keep things relaxed. I also introduced him to some flag work to help him handle sounds and pressure with ease. This session was about teaching Nodin how to find relaxation even when things get a bit stressful. He’s a smart and sensitive guy, and it’s so rewarding to see him progress.
