I always used to do the quieter mid-week trackdays at Castle Combe in Astras (3) from early 1990s up to 2015. True enthusiasts - not there just to show off to their mates with most people driving fast but sensibly as opposed. Stopped doing any Saturday ones as every other session was stopped due to some idiot running out of talent losing the rest of us valuable track time. Great fun though, and just wish I hadn't got too old / became a pensioner & had to hang up my helmet. Happy days. Highly recommended.

You're right on the limit at Craners. Any sudden moves and you're off as well. He would have missed the other car no problem until that car jinked over at the last second. It always look so easy from outside. It's a different world in the car.

In another decade or so will there be enough internal combustion engines vehicles left to race like this? Makers are building SUVs and EVs. I don’t see EVs handling well enough to race like this

Petrol cars will be around for many decades yet. Many of the cars racing at club level are 30 years old.

EVs are not going to replace petrol cars. Governments are already doing a lot to subsidise EVs/legislate out petrol cars, and yet it still isn't enough to bring down the costs of EVs for the majority of the population which is all it comes down to in the end. For example, whenever you see someone say "well I can charge my EV overnight using the charging infrastructure at my house", they are putting the cart before the horse - home ownership rates are falling, and pretty soon the majority of the population won't even have property of their own to install said charging infrastructure. How's the government going to solve that exactly - buy everyone a house?

It's already being legislated in many countries that landlords must fit EV charging points to their properties. EV's are already cheaper than the equivalent petrol/diesel model in man countries when obtained the way the vast majority of new cars are via personal lease. Even on outright purchase the differences aren't that great. People who say they can't afford a new EV couldn't afford a new petrol/diesel car either.

6 was trying to pass on the inside not the outside. He had a lot more exit speed and just drifted wide, probably got pulled to the left when he got on the kerb. Not by any stretch of the imagination would I call that a ram.

If all you show is people crashing then it's going to look bad. Imagine a compilation of Hamilton driving into the gravel on worn out tyres, driving into the back of cars at a red light in the pits, stopping at the wrong pit box etc etc.

It's called EnduroKA and is run by MSVR. You can watch the races on their channel and many competitors have their own behind the scenes videos as well. They are Ford KA's not Focus.
