Hey mate, great job! Did you cam the engine or leave factory? Also how’s the startup? I’m really interested in achieving easy starts and smooth idle.

Great job! I am putting a LS1 into my 90 Malibu. What part is the water neck on the driver side? You are running your raw water pump below the Alt correct? Im trying to figure out your system and order all the parts needed. Any help would be great and thanks in advance.

Thanks for the videos, my 83 has a Chrysler 440 and it’s not ideal. Way to big for the boat and heavy, I’ve been thinking about this for a few years

I’m assuming it wasn’t a stock marine engine? What parts did you have to buy to make it marinized?

Getting ready to drop a LS6 in a 95 Malibu. What did you do for your fresh water pump and your fuel system? Nice build BTW!

How is the performance? Top speed? This is awesome, amazing work!

Performance is amazing rides on rails , top speed will always be limited since it’s a ski boat, hull design and shaft angle will almost always keep it under 50mph, but it gets there REAL fast

Are you leaving the windshield like that, retro mod like the new ones? Looks sweet that way. How many hours did that interior take you? I’m in the same predicament with costs on my 02 Malibu LSV.
@christianbonacci
@christianbonacci Жыл бұрын
Not really sure on the hours it took I just took my time did like 1 panel or seat once every couple days so I didn’t get frustrated with it , I plan on leaving the windshield like that looks way better and much better for like grabbing the dock and such , the cost to have someone do the interior was so ridiculous I wouldn’t even consider it.lol

Do you have a parts list for this swap? I see the Crusader exhaust. I am wondering about mounts, raw water pump, bell housing, flywheel and starter. Also, what ECU did you use?
@christianbonacci
@christianbonacci Жыл бұрын
Not really I am making a video that will go through most of it, bell housing was stock to the Mastercraft , mounts are stock with Ls to sbc adapter plates flywheel is nfw1050 truck flywheel from like a Silverado , starter is just a regular Ls starter , ecu is stock 0411 GM pcm tuned with hptuners , raw water pump is from a nautique or a crusader 6.0 same think

That was such an interesting and creative idea. Just an insight though…there is a difference between a hammer drill and a rotary hammer. I believe that you are referring to a rotary hammer. Seeing that this real world application is so brilliant, it should be patented and then manufactured. Thank you for your video.

Hey. Engine looks great in there. What did you end up using for your exhaust manifold? And I am going to assume that isn’t a closed loop cooling system? Thanks.
@christianbonacci
@christianbonacci Жыл бұрын
Exhaust manifolds are crusader 6.0 , it’s raw water cooled but could easily be closed cooled with a kit or custom heat exchanger

I’m in the same process. Removing thin set and glue off my concrete floors to stain. What I did was cut the handle off the 4” chisel. And cut the tip off an air hammer bit. Then welded them together. Worked great and didn’t scratch up the concrete like the heavy thick air chisel did!

I’ve done this work before and he’s got a great idea here. And he’s right about some of the other cup grinders gouging out the concrete. Then having to use floor leveler as another time consuming step and expense. So, he’s got a good tool there and I have a small job coming up like this and it will do a great job.

That's a good idea. If you sprinkle a little water on it you will cut down on dust. A wipe over with a medium damp sponge will do it even. Too much and you've got mud.

Thanks for the great tip. I have the orange SDS hammer drill from Harbor Freight and have been using the 2" tile removal bit to chip up the tiles on a concrete floor in a kitchen, laundry, hall, and breakfast area. (About 400 sf.) I want to put down a laminate plank floor so I need the concrete slab very clean and smooth. I followed your example and made one like you did using the HF 12" scraper instead of the 4' one. I pulled the handle grip off, stuck a snug piece of old garden hose in the tube, and pounded a 12" HF SDS chisel bit in there until it bottomed out and was ready to put it to work. It worked great except the blade bolts did come loose during the job. The 12" scraper was $5.99 and the 10" SDS bit was in a 3 bit set for $16.99. I did use a pump sprayer with water to wet the thin set to control the dust. I did buy the 4' scraper to make a longer tool (standing) and have not needed it yet.

You can buy a commercial version of your tool, which fits SDS MAX compatible hammer drills on Amazon for $55, delivered to you door. It's a beast. An SDS plus version is available for about $70. Extra blades available for both. My apologies if someone has already brought this up.
