Hey mate, great job! Did you cam the engine or leave factory? Also how’s the startup? I’m really interested in achieving easy starts and smooth idle.

Thanks for the videos, my 83 has a Chrysler 440 and it’s not ideal. Way to big for the boat and heavy, I’ve been thinking about this for a few years

I’m assuming it wasn’t a stock marine engine? What parts did you have to buy to make it marinized?

Great job! I am putting a LS1 into my 90 Malibu. What part is the water neck on the driver side? You are running your raw water pump below the Alt correct? Im trying to figure out your system and order all the parts needed. Any help would be great and thanks in advance.

Are you leaving the windshield like that, retro mod like the new ones? Looks sweet that way. How many hours did that interior take you? I’m in the same predicament with costs on my 02 Malibu LSV.
@christianbonacci Жыл бұрын
Not really sure on the hours it took I just took my time did like 1 panel or seat once every couple days so I didn’t get frustrated with it , I plan on leaving the windshield like that looks way better and much better for like grabbing the dock and such , the cost to have someone do the interior was so ridiculous I wouldn’t even consider it.lol

Do you have a parts list for this swap? I see the Crusader exhaust. I am wondering about mounts, raw water pump, bell housing, flywheel and starter. Also, what ECU did you use?
@christianbonacci Жыл бұрын
Not really I am making a video that will go through most of it, bell housing was stock to the Mastercraft , mounts are stock with Ls to sbc adapter plates flywheel is nfw1050 truck flywheel from like a Silverado , starter is just a regular Ls starter , ecu is stock 0411 GM pcm tuned with hptuners , raw water pump is from a nautique or a crusader 6.0 same think

@@christianbonacci been debating on putting a 5.3 or 6.0 in my Nautique. Currently have a 5.7 vortec. My only concern would be what intake do you use and what ecm to use.

Stock pcm and intake work great

Hey. Engine looks great in there. What did you end up using for your exhaust manifold? And I am going to assume that isn’t a closed loop cooling system? Thanks.
@christianbonacci Жыл бұрын
Exhaust manifolds are crusader 6.0 , it’s raw water cooled but could easily be closed cooled with a kit or custom heat exchanger

Did you add a video anywhere of the build itself? Your part 2 video said there would be a more in-depth video on the engine build itself. Just wondering if I missed it somewhere. Thanks!

I have some footage of everything just trying to find time to edit and post , I will try to get to it soon

You ever get a video together of parts you used or tips? My motor is bad on my Malibu euro f3. I’ve ls swapped many things but never a boat. Looking for some pointers lol. Thanks!

How is the performance? Top speed? This is awesome, amazing work!
@christianbonacci Жыл бұрын
Performance is amazing rides on rails , top speed will always be limited since it’s a ski boat, hull design and shaft angle will almost always keep it under 50mph, but it gets there REAL fast
