Hi - Do you think maybe drying them in a low temp oven would make them go faster. I found that drying in the hot sun burns the edges (that's middle east sun so ???)

These papers are gorgeous and thanks ever so much for showing us this technique. However, sad to say I won't be doing any of these as I've washed my hands of those sprays. The amount of times I have used them, done a whole journal page only to find that they transfer from page to page and somehow don't really dry at all - sorry about that. I look forward to seeing everyone's take on this. Tfs xo
@madebymartha20 күн бұрын
@@elizabethnaisbitt1795 I completely understand what you’re saying about some of the sprays. I gave away most of my sprays that are not permanent. However, most of the sprays I used are permanent when dry - Dina Wakely and Maribu, which unfortunately they don’t make anymore. You could try this process with acrylic inks if you have them, but I would definitely add a bit of water with those. Anyway, it was a fun process to try 😊💖

Good morning Martha, not sure if I caught it but what type of paper did you use? I like to use watercolor paper. I know this sounds crazy, but once I pull out the paper and pat it down with a paper towel, I put them in the dryer with a dryer sheet! LOL I do iron them like you do but I use parchment paper between the paper.Thank you for sharing Martha, they came out beautiful! I hope you have a great weekend! 😁Gina

@@PerfectlyImperfectJunkJournals thanks Gina! I used 28 pound copy paper. Next time I try this technique I am going to try using deli paper and rice paper and see how that works. I don’t often use watercolor paper because I use my papers in collage a lot. Also, I’m not sure I would trust putting my papers in the dryer. Does the dryer sheet capture all the color because if not the sprays might leave color behind that would get on your clothing the next time you use thedryer…
@PerfectlyImperfectJunkJournals18 күн бұрын
Good morning, Martha. Hope you are having a good morning 😊 I don't have color bleed when I use the dryer. I use the low settings, and it only takes a few minutes. The paper is wrinkled, but once I iron they are nice and smooth. I like the idea of using a dry sheet, I'll try that next time! ❤ I hope you have a great day! ❤

@@revCMF hope you give it a try! So I tea dye papers in small spaces all the time.
