If you follow the instructions you can’t overfill it. Because you’re holding the fan hub vertical and letting the oil run to the bottom. Then you only fill to the edge of the centre hole. You can’t fill past that hole, because it will all run out.

Hey there, I installed that "same" alarm system and it was incomplete because I lost the user manual, can you take some photos of it and put it in a PDF or something, please? And when I mean "same" its because it has the same box, the only different is the one I have it says "Accesories Scorpions" on the upper left corner and on the sides it has Model No: 314006 and some other numbers with a bar. I tried to look up on the internet and no luck.

Sorry for writing you a book I have a problem with a mini cooper s I have replaced the thermostat because the heater inside did not get hot. Also, prior to replacement of the thermostat the fan came on when the engine was not even started, and it kept running even if the engine was still not up to temperature and you switched it off. Now with a new sensor and new thermostat the fan does not come on at all. I have found the secret menu to find out how hot the coolant gets. I have taken it to 110 degrees Celsius and then switched off the engine because i have heard that it should switch on roughly between 105 and 108. It does not switch on. I have checked the relays, switched them around with one that absolutely works fine, but no luck. I have jumped the relay to see if the fan still works. It still works. On both high and low, if i jump the relay. I have a visual on the resistor that is on the fan itself, and it looks fine from the perspective that i can see it. I can not see the other side, only one side, but it looks like it has not been damaged. I have seen a video where a guy had to reset the computer, erase codes, because he triggered a code that kept the fan from running. I have a cheap ODB reader and have tried to reset it all but no luck. I have checked voltage on the relay. I am not an electrician, but if the relay has 12 volts on the pins that should trigger the relay, why does it not get triggered? Both relays for low and high speed fan have 12 volts roughly on the pins that should trigger the relay. And roughly 16 to 17 volts on the pins that make the fan run. And yet, it does not start up. Do you have any idea? I cant reach the resistor to do some measuring with the voltage meter.... But my guess is that that one has to be dead because the relays seem to be functioning when i switch em around to another position. And the fan is not dead, because if i jump the leads it functions fine. The temperature sensor can not be dead either, because it is brand new. It came with the new thermostat. I think it is highly unlikely that it already is dead, plus i read it off of the dashboard, and the temperature goes up gradually from cold to 110. (when i decided to switch it off, scared of damaging even more) If you have a clue what i can try, or where i should look, it would be much appreciated, Or do you perhaps also think it might be a code triggered in the computer that prevents the fan from running? What i just do not understand is that both relays have 12 volt on the pins that should trigger the relay. And it stays off. But if i jump the relay, the fan comes on. But the relay functions just fine in another place. I hate problems which are not clear
@gettingitdone1
@gettingitdone1 10 күн бұрын
At this point it may be time to consult an auto electrician with a more advanced scan tool to see if there are any resets and to check the resistor further. The resistors are quite a common issue so still a possibility even if it looks physically ok.
@bertjesklotepino
@bertjesklotepino 10 күн бұрын
@@gettingitdone1 i was afraid somebody would respond with that. And ps: sorry for writing you this book I have checked it all as far as i can. I am positive the sensor works to measure temperature. I am positive the relays work. The fan works. If i pull the relays and jump the gap it starts spinning. The resistor is in a spot where it should not be. Or as far as i can determine from looking at videos. Normally it should be behind the plastics. But in my case it is visible from the outside. Which makes me think it has been replaced one time or another. Anyway, gonna check the resistor, and then to the shop to have a more sophisticated scan tool scan it. BUT, maybe you can explain this: 2 relays, high speed low speed. They both function. I have tested them all kinds of ways and i am certain that they function. They only fit into the socket in 1 direction. I have measured the pins in the socket with a multimeter. 2 of em together make 17 volts. Those go to the fan. The other 2, the ones that trigger the relay to switch it on or off, they measure 12 volts when the ignition is on.... (maybe i make a mistake here, maybe only when the engine is running. BUT, one of the 2 is correct. SO...) I have tested the relays and they switch on with 12 volts. The socket the relay sits in already is supplied with 12 volts if the engine runs. So, the relay should switch on and make the fan turn. Because if i pull the relay out and jump the gap with a nail, the fan spins. And yet, the fan does not spin with the relays in place. 100 procent sure the relays are working fine. And i have measured the voltage several times.... 12 volts across the points that should trigger the relay. So, the relay is triggered when it is in the socket, is my opinion. So, the connection should be made to make the fan spin. And yet it doesnt. But a nail does the trick. It really makes the water i have in my head boil.

My mechanic is asking me to order the wishbone arm lower left and also the right to do this job. I just need him to replace the arm pin or bush worn just like what you have shown in your video. Is my mechanic right?
@gettingitdone1
@gettingitdone1 22 күн бұрын
A couple of things to consider there. Firstly it can be a matter of what is available. If only arms are available and not bushes, that might be what you need to do. (Just need to be sure the new arms come with the bushes on them). The other thing to consider is, if the price of a complete arm is not much more than just a bush, it can be beneficial to replace the complete arm. The reason being that you save all of the cost for the extra time it takes to press off the old bush and press the new one on. So it can sometimes work out more cost efficient to replace the complete arms in some cases. Also you mentioned the pin? If they are saying that the pin or the arm itself is damaged then replacing the complete arm would be the only way to repair that.

@ hello. I am sorry. I have no partnumber. I could not find one because the small piece of wiring is part of a bigger engine control harness. So i built my own one. It is basically the connector plus three wires of the fuelpressuresensor on the backside of the rail witch goes to the a bigger connector. This bigger connector unites also with the short harness of the camshaftsensor. You need a new connectorhousing with three pins and three wires. I bought my stuff online.

@gettingitdone1
@gettingitdone1 Ай бұрын
For this particular issue, it’s not actually the concentric slave cylinder (although you should replace that at the same time). The fault is in this piece of pipe, we believe that the bleeder somehow lets air back into the system over time. This one had already had the slave replaced and still had the same issue until we replaced the pipe.

@gettingitdone1
@gettingitdone1 Ай бұрын
It’s possible that the mechanism in the throttle body is damaged. But also possible that it just needs a reset or relearn. If you don’t have a scan tool, disconnect the battery for a few minutes, then reconnect and drive it. It will need to relearn after a battery disconnection so may stall and things with low rpm to start with but should work itself out. If that doesn’t work see if a mechanic with a scan tool can do a relearn. If that doesn’t work replace it.

You may be able to reset the learned values of the EGR with some tools, Autel would probably do it and launch as well, most likely snap on, not sure about others. Not sure if it’s really crucial though, it will probably re learn on its own after driving for a while.

You’ll need to drop that rear subframe and diff assembly. I talk about that briefly near the start of the video. On the ground you’d need to get the car up as high as you safely can on stands then you probably want two jacks to support the subframe as you drop it. It doesn’t have to come right out, just far enough down to clear the bolt from the fuel tank.
