Holden colorado p0336 and p0019 (crank no start)

We have one here with same issue, makes a tell tale rattle on cold start from that location, and p0336 and ABS related codes on a VZ V6, so looks like same issue to me. Thanks for the video, very handy.

The material used looks very like abs pick up rings. I'm also guessing there's no software strategy to allow it to run without the crank sensor. At least the ecotec engines would still start albeit it's a struggle.

Yeah it’s basically the exact same thing as an ABS ring. I don’t think there is a way around it in terms of software, it may depend on how much or which part of the ring is missing too. If it can still read TDC it might run.

On the ecotecs the Crank sensor could be disconnected and it would run on the cam sensor. Didn't run great but it would get you home.
