Roads generate income in the sense that they boost business capacity thereby enhancing economic growth.

I intentionally uses tge word SELF LIGUUDATING. This implies that revenue is generated directly. Yes roads open up the country and consequently the economy but it will not directly pay for the roads.
@cuteniece4461
@cuteniece4461 Жыл бұрын
@@Babunagee These roads being built were paid for with external goodwill financial instruments that are not a loan or levy. Governments should make it among its top priorities to invest in road construction, as this can quickly contribute to alleviating poorverty. Furthermore big returns on investment from it do get realised by the state definitely medium term to long-term and perhaps even short-term. Road are statute fixed assets so they are a good investment liquid assets can be vulnerable to misuse.

The GovOfTheG should not let any rice grown in The Gambia be exported. Rice is more valuable to the families! The rice is more valuable than any currencies. A bag of rice is more valuable than a bag of fiat currency! You can not eat fiat currency! you can eat rice! The price of imported rice and all imports is going through the roof! The Chinese trawlers are robbing the Gambian families of their fish -- the wealth of The Gambia, the lively hood, the survival of the artisanal fishermen and women! Wake up Gambia our children can not thrive or survive on imported chicken legs -- we can not afford nor thrive or survive on imported rice! Small companies, farmer co-operatives, or indigenous Gambian small business, individual smallholder entrepreneurs can operate and control rice out grower and exporter schemes. Under favorable conditions, this approach provides small farmers with access to non-interest based Islamic Funding and joint ventures to which they would never have to access. This type of arrangement is relevant as government delivery and provision of funding to the smallholder farming villages and smallholder family-owned enterprise is nonexistent! The involvement of the indigenous Gambian entrepreneurs providing smallholder agricultural assistance based on Islamic Business Principles is increasing! Alhamdulillah The Millennials must put and end to the Chinese trawlers illegal rape of The Gambian fisheries!

Has someone put a gun to your head for you toeven speak about merging with Senegal -- You want to be a French defacto colony!! It is time you drive the Chinese out of your waters and to strengthen the smallholder farms! Have the Chinese threatened you? Modernity is what you lust for? There are plenty of modern middle class slaves! Do you envy America, England France The Gambia has plenty of ambition! -- You are speaking evil -- Satan told Issa to throw himself off the cliff! Do you fear Revolution? What independence did you gain? You are living in a walled fools paradise lusting after the green grass and illusion of what -- how many pieces of silver did you take??! Walk the walk to real Revolutionary change and the indigenous Gambians having sovereignty over wealth -- the fish the rice is the wealth the land! The world is full of pragmatists! Better internet - better electricity - a car is that the price of your soul!! You are not a viable Gambian!

Nyang Thank you for a very insightful and interesting in video regarding the efforts you all have made in a development of the Gambia it's a shame this particular venture didn't come to fruition nevertheless please keep trying I also note that the international conference didn't go ahead in the Gambia and many of the infrastructure projects were unduly delayed by bureaucracy as a British Caribbean who regularly visits the Gambia I find this very disappointing Gambia has so much potential and people like you who proactively look for ways to benefit the Gambia are very rare indeed. I often encourage my friends and family members to visit the Gambia for vacation many of them do and talk of how similar it is to the Caribbean in terms of climate food and culture however this is where it ends and the conversation returns to the lack of infrastructure such as But not limited to by way of example refuge collection, “Yes refuge collection” and disposal even this has an economic impact on the Gambia as Gambia is unfortunately heavy reliant on tourism and as the beaches become more cluttered with refuge it won't be long before this will have an impact on the financial income of the Gambia . My point is there are some basic things that need to be flagged up. I was recently reading several articles relating to Ghana very simple(and cheap) use of technology in the collection of taxes from small businesses this has now been rolled out throughout Ghana and is proving to be effective. it's these sort of ideas that will bring revenue streams to the government which will enable them to fulfil some of their manifesto pledges and hopefully provide infrastructure to the Gambia thank you once again.
