The powertrain is combination of a gasoline engine and a battery pack (I.e. lithium ion) that powers electric motors. The electric motors can move the vehicle on their own, without the engine, for light throttle applications, and then the gas engine will turn on to a) assist the electric motors when the driver is going faster b) recharge the battery. You can sit, coast, and also accelerate without the engine running, which allows for a quieter driving experience at times. Also, the electric motors can perform regenerative braking to capture electricity that would otherwise be lost and also help charge the electric battery. Summed up you get great fuel economy- likely high 40s or 50 mpg or so for this SE.

That's not a 2024; it's a 2023. The reason I state this is because The Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist Technology is standard on ALL 2024 BRZ's including the ones with a manual transmission.

Good “Signia” (“estate” in Japan), but Toyota really blew it with the single low-mounted headlights. Compare the Crown Sedan, with multiple LEDs. I also don’t like the glass roof… safety issue and these have been known to leak with other brands.

This 2025 Toyota Crown Signia has a stunning, classy design, both outside and inside. I hope they keep all the features they show in this pre-production model. YET, I was strongly disappointed it did NOT have the following features: 1) HEADS-UP DISPLAY: Yes, this feature may cost a bit more, but it is expected for a car in this category! For me, this would be a deal breaker. 2) LUMBAR SUPPORT PASSENGER SEAT, Why is Toyota penny-pinching here? It's about time to give the passenger the same comfort as the driver in a car like this. The driver is often younger than the passenger (long drives). How much could adding lumbar support to the passenger seat cost? The following two are features the 2024 Honda CR-V has. Ouch!! 3) BACK-PASSENGER DOORS that fully open, 4) BACK SETS THAT RECLINE Final comment: Car prices have increased considerably, much more than the cost of living. The shortage during COVID-19 increased prices, and since prices have not decreased, the supply chain issue has been resolved to a great extent. I sincerely hope Toyota will pay attention to these simple changes and bring to market a first-class winner!

@@dabiri69 i'm in the same boat as you, but not too worried because of EKR custom made leatherette covers. I got them in my 2020 Corolla SE and you can't even tell they're covers. So happy this camry comes with a black headliner, instead of the outgoing tan headliner.

The previous SE has leather-fabric mixed seats. The new one seems to be only fabric.

All softex apparently. That is a good thing. Very durable and hold up well. Easy to clean. Had them in our 13 rav4

I think its because the grill have a different color than the same body color option on the XSE
