My knockout in dawah as i call and practise it, even though I'm not an Imam but a Designer, 1. NO BIDAH IN ISLAM The head of it being the "TERMS" hanafi, hanbali, maliki, suni, shia, salafi, sufi ahlusunawaljama etc. No terms in Islam just "Muslim" and from them some are weak some are strong and the best are those who bite to Quran and Sunnah. that simple. Muslim are even allowed to think differently from Quran and Sunnah you canot stop them, not all minds are the same, but definitely and strictly not declare themselves with terms. "You don't need to strike the bidah, strike the term" (madhhab, manhaj, tarika) and the bida will fall naturally cause they then will have no madhhab, manhaj or tarika to follow but Quran and Sunnah only. and second and last one 2. NO ISLAMIC ART, THERE IS NO SUCH ISLAMIC ART IN ISLAM There is no such Islamic Art, the idea of the "Islamic Art" and the obsession towards it is driving muslims Architecture and Design 1000 years behind in these days of High Tech, Modernity and Minimalism. There is Islamic Empires Art, but not Islamic Art. Why should muslims involve always and everywhere Calligraphy, Carvings and Ornaments and say this is Islamic Art, no, that is Islamic Empires Art but not Islamic Art. As long as we consider Islam to be for all mankind, all places and all times it definitely should not be identified with such leftbehind, outdated and limited elements of Calligraphy, Carvings and Ornaments. Islamic Art should be truly Modern and Simple, displaying only materials, lines and colors what all modern Architecture does today and not involving history and ornaments and calligraphy wich in fact are history but not islam. Islamic Art is for all nations, all times and all places, calliography, ornaments and carvings, are not. "Islamic Empires Art" and "Islamic Art" are two different things as day and night is. The hadith of differentiating from disbelievers, does not apply for art (design) and technology, you can imitate disbelievers in these two fields. as long as there is simplicity and beneficence. ARCHITECTURAL THINGS NOT FROM ISLAM Ablution places with tiles instead of white smooth and clean porcelain sinks of endless designs and sizes as all institutions, working and living places use these days (would the imam or a believer spit on a tile in his bathroom at home?!), minarets instead of simple speakers and flag poles, useless mihrabs, useless high minbars and useless domes wich all where taken as elements from byzantine churches and integreted in islamic worshiping places so the voice would echo. Ornaments, disgusting chandeliers and classic carpets, all these have nothing to do with islam but only with islamic empires needs and trends of the time, which all have passed including their designers (ottoman, andalusian or persian or whatever) but Islam still remains contemporary, practical of the time and logical.

*HOW DID WE DRIFT SO FAR AWAY FROM DEEN?* Its easier to mislead blind followers than to cause diversion from Allah’s Path among those who think, use their intellectual and reasoning faculties. Since our forefathers didn’t Amanu- did not use their intellect, didn't seek knowledge but instead were blindly following their leaders, they ended up taking Shayateen as their Awliya. With the passage of time, the Hidayah, guidance from Allah was switched and replaced with Fahasha- committing of such acts by people that is done by crossing the boundaries of Deen and by remaining outside these boundaries in direct opposition and contradiction of Allah’s laws and commands. This switching of Allah’s laws with the laws of Fahasha is done by our forefathers under the impression as if Allah is the one who has commanded these laws of Fahasha. Since they were not of the ones who Amanu, who have sought knowledge or used their faculties to seek knowledge, they believed Fahasha to be the laws of Allah. This is what we learn from Ayah 7:28, *“And when committed Fahashatan (فَاحِشَةً), Qalu (قَالُوا), ‘Wajadna (وَجَدْنَا) upon it Abau’na (آبَاءَنَا) and Allah Amarna (أَمَرَنَا) with it.’ Qul (قُلْ), ‘Indeed, Allah does not Ya’muru (يَأْمُرُ) with Fahasha’e (بِالْفَحْشَاءِ). Are you Taquluna (أَتَقُولُونَ) A’ala (عَلَى) Allah what you do not Ta’malun (تَعْلَمُونَ)?”* This is how our forefathers got influenced by Shayateen, since they did not Amanu, they ended up taking Shayateen as their Awliya, their close friends, role model, confidants, protectors and guardians. This is how with the passage of time, the Hidayah from Allah is switched and replaced with Fahasha- committing of such acts by people that is done by crossing the boundaries of Deen in direct opposition and contradiction of Allah’s commandments and Hidayah. The switching of Allah’s commandments and laws with the laws of Fahasha is done by our forefathers under the impression as if Allah is the one who has commanded these laws of Fahasha. Allah asks us, as Baniy Adam, to counter such laws and practices of Fahasha by asking the people who commit these acts of Fahasha, as ‘Do you really think that Allah would order and command us to commit such acts that cross the boundaries of Deen? Do you really think that Allah would ask us to behave in direct opposition and contradiction of Allah’s own laws? Are you really reflecting from your speech and conducts about Allah what you do not know and have not sought the knowledge of? These are all though-provoking and intensely deep questions, to prove to such people that there cannot be any contradiction when it comes to laws of Allah and hence Allah could never command people to commit acts of Fahasha. Instead of being a blind follower of our traditions, customs and our forefathers’ practices and customs that pass on generations after generation, people should be in a place where they seek knowledge of the laws of Allah in order to know exactly what these laws of Allah are so that they do not end up following Fahasha under the impression as if those are laws of Allah.

Great reminder about the devil inside all of us. Brother is right, very easy to be 2 faced behind closed doors. Was feeling irritable and annoyed with kids today and felt like saying 'just go away from me and dont talk to me' after waking up late due to spending day out with friends yesterday. Glad I found this practical reminder.
