Excellent video, thank you, I liked how you made your own downpipe pop/spout at the end. I need to make downpipe pops for round downpipes (90mm) feeding into quarter round guttering (similar offset to your video) - assume making the pops for round downpipe would be a similar process (just trimming and making tabs around the circle)?

This is just showing how to prep your bathroom for the tiler. Hope this helps because the better the preparation the better the job. The wall doesn't have to be perfect for the tiler, but it does need a good cover, so it is a perfect job to practice your plastering. Have fun

Wonder , why the surface of the wall with the shower tap spindles looks differently to the other one? Dont you treat them differently, including the shower floor ?
@dennisperrie18 күн бұрын
@sowhat3430 it is because the other wall was down to bare brick. the wall needed plaster to waterproof and put the tiles on. the back wall with the taps was still okay for the tiler to do the waterproofing and tile
@dennisperrie18 күн бұрын
@sowhat3430 the shower wall still had some of the original glue on it from the tiles. the floor will be screeded by the tiler so i didnt touch that. he had that under control.

Put two on a roof last week.3 part not two but identical. Maker suggested cut corner off higher two tiles and leave about 10cm of removed tile lower end. Fits nicer at top and end of flashing mimics shape of adjoining tiles. Hardest was getting adjustment level so for the second mimiced first and only needed minor adjustments. Flashing under top tile was pre curved upwards making it easier to prevent water entry.
