Great Job. You made the most of the time you had. Congrats on a great buck! This unit was my dad's family's stomping grounds way back when before it became an LE unit. My cousin and I drew out for this hunt in 2021 for nostalgia's sake. We both took nice bucks and loved every minute of our hunt! Priceless memories for sure! Beautiful country that I will always hold dear! Thanks for sharing your experience!

Looping the cable around the tree and the trap through it is problematic! I have done the same thing ans lost a trap and coon when the loop backed up and enlarged!!! The coon crawled through the enlarged loop and ran off , trap and all!!! Good Luck!!

At the time, the Spypoint Link-S’s I was using worked really well. I didn’t start having problems until they came out with the micros. I’ve switched to Tactacam now and couldn’t be happier!

Eventually. But anywhere I feed deer where pigs are present, I like to build a pen around the feeder. That said, I’ve got a lot of experience around hogs (not as much as you perhaps) and I think the feeder would last longer than you think. Would it be my choice for a hog feeder- nah. But it’s pretty darn stout. All that said- the feeder in this video died this year when the farmer scooped it up with a bunch of dead logs and burned it 😂🤣

These things work GREAT for raccoons. Where were they 30 yrs ago when there was a market for raccoon pelts? But heads up for those who have cats, they ARE NOT cat proof. If you put these on property's with pet cats, I would avoid fishy baits, or you will eventually catch a kitty.

Lol. Deer will find the corn and any other food in any vegetation. Dude, they are animals! The trimming tip is bs and not necessary, and actually changes the scenery and area from what they are used to. The feeder addition is enough "change" to have to deal with. You're overthinking this. 😂

deer do not need to search for corn in high grass. They have plenty of food all around them that is much easier to consume. This is a fact and obviously you are not an experienced hunter. The only thing corn feeds in high grass is mice and squirrels.
