My 'Rising Sun' Bud Redbud tree that was planted last September hass developed scorched leaves on all the new growth the Spring. I'm going to have to apply a shade cloth I guess. I thought they could take full sun.

Finally a teacher who understands. Like at the end of the day a Zoom call is inviting people into our private spaces, like our home. Sometimes you need privacy but you're still tuned in, that's why the camera off option is there in the first place. There are so many reasons, like what if I'm crying? If my home is small and there is a lot of commotion happening in the background with my family members? Why if I'm going through something and couldn't get dressed? If I'm in a different place than usual but still want to be present? I can still be tuned in without extra stress of finding a spot, getting dressed, or drying my eyes. Its a lot of pressure off of me

Thank you, this is what I wanted to know. 140-170 seems like a good range.

this is so good and just what I was looking for. It woud be very helpful to know how to do it. Can I just make a video (Zoom can do this) and add the video as a virtual background?

Just subscribed to your channel. I like to turn my camera off because my face is very readable. I have a hard time keeping neutral face when someone asks the third question that is a waste of everyone's time. So much better for me to have a neutral loop I can throw up and not frown and have my "wow! did they just ask that?" face. LOL

I used to speak fast in 2007 but ever since some people at my old college, all i got was what did he say? Like they didn't hear me or they didn't understand me. It made me feel sad that i started speaking so slowly like a robot and got depressed

What a dishonest approach to dealing with being on camera. Just don't come to class if you are not interested in engaging.

The warm ups of actors are not ysed in this way. They arevused to free up your instrument so that ut is responsive to your emotional work and to promote projection and clairity of speech. That us to say if you are going to do a character experiencing the briad range of states including shy damaged traumatised horrified etc they are unimpeaded by your own personal state of mind or just in general stiffness or nonreactiveness.

This is a great work around, but sadly it is still a work around for something that should be intigrated into the windows version of scrivener. We live in the future but someone in the chain of fail is forcing us into the second class behind mac. I have both a mac and windows system but sometimes I just don't want to fire up the mac when inspiration hits and it annoys me just a little bit that the cortana dictation even in 2024 as I write this is still garbage when working with scrivener.

I've been told I was speaking too slow and my voice is very unenergetic since I remember myself , now I got a job training where I realised I'll have to take phone calls , not fun times at all .

honestly. im paying attention. I have on online class and i love to walk around and listen to the lecture but my teacher wont accept that I will walk around during lecture until example time. I just have to be active and thats why i took an online class. hate that i have to resort to this. I get the arguement against it though when it comes to company meetings

I talk slowly. I've been told by a few people that I must be mentally slow because of how I speak when, in reality, I'm not. My brain goes faster than my mouth.

shave a few of them final frames and make em seamless. i'm pretty sure even a peripheral gaze would perceive that skip... and with such a short duration, nodding and pantomiming words is too much movement. it screams of _Lᴏᴏᴘ._ just breathe and blink.

When you say "words," do you really mean syllables? One may find it easy to say the word "a" 140-170 times within a minute. Not many people would be able to hypothetically say "hypothetically" 140-170 times within a minute.

There is a Google Docs addon called Language Tool that can help with the editing such as capitalizing first words in a sentence. Also, other word processors like Atlantis or freebie LibreOffice Writer have autocorrect features that will do similar. Also, when I use voice typing, you can use the keyboard to enter punctuation and then just keep using voice typing. In 2023, Docs recognizes "comma" and inserts the punctuation. Thanks for the tips.

This was painfully slow to watch, this is why I watch everything on 2x speed which definitly has an effect on how fast I speak
@LauraBergells

Presenters need to record at a slower pace, my friend! That way, when you speed it up, you can understand us! When you speak too fast AND people speed you up, it doesn't translate well. Neurodivergent people often like to listen at 2x or 3x speeds. It helps them focus. I often listen at 3x, myself! And people who speak English as a 2nd language might even slow us down to .5 or .75! Be kind to your audience! The 140-170 speech pace can help with clarity and understanding: whether you're being heard at .5x, 1x, or 3x!
