Licking is a sign of stress! Are you giving your corgi enough exercise? As a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, I',be seen this behavior over many decades. Lack of exercise, too much coddling, lack of rules, boundaries, limitations, and training are the most often seen causes.

My wife has a Corgi that herds cows, does agility and really lives to please and loves to work. She is a wonderful dog and is strange as strange could be. I call Corgis stubby legged Hyenas.

This young Chihuahua/Corgi mix likes to be hugged. All my other dogs freak out when they are hugged. Is that a Corgi thing?

My wife brought home a dog she thought was a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix. I knew right away it was a Chihuahua/Corgi mix. I used this video to convince her. The clincher was the disapproving Corgis segment.

DO NOT GIVE DOGS MILK YOGURT OR FAT!

Cute idea, think I’d probably do mashed sweet potatoes instead, as my pup prefers them but everything looks great 👍🏻

It's bad to give dogs pieces of meat that size. I know my dog would try to swallow it whole and potentially choke. Either give them bite size pieces, or a piece large enough that they have to chew off pieces to eat it.

Dogs can have milk and butter. Just not onions
@WittyDiablo24 күн бұрын
It's likely because milk and butter causes them to use the bathroom. As well as the butter would have to be unsalted. Overall it would be better to avoid accidents or your doggos tummy being irritated!

I’m a vet tech and I would avoid giving your pets milk and butter. Fatty foods can cause diarrhea, or, worse yet, lead to a nasty case of pancreatitis, which could land your pup or kitty at the emergency vet!

My corgi, Pancakes, loves hiding under the bed. He takes naps all the time under there. He also likes burying his head under the couch when he doesnt wanna go out for walks 🤣

So… ecollar and slip leash is called focusing on relationship now? Plus - giving him a break from going out is perfectly fine suggestion. Dog can recharge from overstimulation. Organism in constant state of stress is not learning at all or very little so getting it to be in homeostasis is doing wonders. From what I see, some behaviors are just suppressed by pain from aversive tools. But some of it definitely is good like physical and mental exercise or finding what he actually likes. WSS are very emotional and not that easy to train how to survive in modern world. It’s hard. But slip leash and ecollar is just helping you to cope, not him

Many trainers I’ve called to help me out if I couldn’t figure out something always told me to neuter my dog Zeus just because of how he looks. He is a 86% timber wolf and 14% German sheperd, plus is 7.2 feet tall when he stands up on his hind legs against a wall. Thankfully I never listened to those trainers and did what I felt like was best and in the end it turned out amazing. Zeus now knows protection work and lots of commands thanks to me not listening to those trainers.

So cute, I hate when people jump into getting pets without the knowledge of how to train or care for them properly, then give them up due to their own failures.
