Now I’m 37 years old & I have no problem providing for my wife & family whenever I find her & I pray very soon! 🙏🏾 BUT For the sista’s saying men need to step up & they shouldn’t be going 50/50 need to understand this logical way of thinking: this may NOT last forever & you as a woman should be willing to ease some of your husbands stress load when you see it too hard on him maybe his hours got cut or he injured himself on the job many things can happen. it’s not ALL about you it’s a TEAM A 2 WAY STREET!!!! I do agree with being a provider and that’s no issue for me, but being a provider by buying into the idea of money, turns me away. Globally I think we need to realizes money isn’t worth our time or efforts and the way the economy works isn’t what we need as humans moving forward.

This moved my heart today. My husband wouldn’t allow me to work when I was younger. I saw it as oppression until I became a mother. Because of what he’s provided, I have been able to raise & homeschool 3 babies. I had graduated and the other 2 are on the way! We didn’t have much, but we never went hungry, & never didn’t have what we needed. I don’t completely agree with that lifestyle now, but when it works, it works. And I wouldn’t trade being able to stay home and BE a mother to my children (especially when they were very young and vulnerable) for anything. Thank you for this post.

Sorry Minister, its 50/50 or 60/40. According to your Mom analogy if i provide everything for a woman she becomes the child in the relationship. Cleaning and taking care of a house is both people's responsibility also - a man should live on his own first and the woman comes in as a helper and compliment

I respect the Minister. I dated a FOI for 6 years that ended up being a covert narcissistic sociopath. He tried to unalive me by strangulation and he was also physically, emotionally psychologically and financially abusive. He doesn't follow the restrictive laws of NOI.

I agree with everything you said but it feels like I only wanted to get better and ended up getting worse. I know there's a verse about waxing worse and worse but I thought I had done and was doing what I was supposed to. Now I just feel messed up, defeated and like a wreck. @@XXXXXXXHHB I was feeling like that about 2weeks ago , I was under attack by the enemy because a break through was on the horizon, so I remembered who's I was , remembering JESUS is my savior I have authority in his name over these attacks . So today I stand here in victory over those situations. Just remember once you call upon the the LORD you are worth more and the evil will try to kill-steal-destory you . Stay strong keep the faith. This is before crack and technology (social media), when you had "company loyalty" and actually do it on one income if you we're smart, when women actually wanted to wait instead of have it RIGHT NOW, when familes had neighborhoods with fathers known to be in the household, Where spiritual direction (aka Religion when pracriced right) was practiced in the home, when mass corporate entities didnt own residential areas...but the also had redlining, heavy racisim, information hid from the masses, working 12hr days everyday and cops killing in the streets. So ...its always been hard. We have yo find a way.

There’s some truth to what he’s saying, but this is a very antiquated and partially chauvinistic perspective. In this day and time, one of the only ways to tell if a woman is truly interested in you and not the things you provide is by her willingness to help. If she never offers and constantly asks, odds are she sees you as a meal ticket. I definitely believe men should be responsible for the lion share of the finances, but with women earning more education than men and experiencing tons of success in a multitude of fields, the “my money is her money and her money is her money” mindset should no longer be the norm.
