I hear you neh but I beg to disagree hey . When I started watching the lion king original I’ve always asked myself why scar was evil and jelous of his brother but after watching Mufasa movie I think le Mufasa betrayed him in a way. Firstly : in the beginning scar helped Mufasa from the crocodiles until the mother even came and rescued. Secondly the father did not want Mufasa in their pride land as he considered him an outsider. But scar was still loving his brother and eager to be with him. Also he let him purposely win the race so that his father does not let Mufasa go or kill him. Thirdly: scars mother showed more love to Mufasa as if it was her own son . That can show a sense of guilt and anger and jealousy I don’t blame him . 4th It was the women situation . Although i understand Mufasa tried to help scar win Sarabi but if he was also a caring brother he could of knew that if he continued to flirt or take Sarabi it was obviously going to hurt scar because he liked her first and he was even asking his brother for advice how to approach her yet Mufasa still continued to make love with her that’s also betrayal and showing love and compassion. 5th Rafiki leyena although he was the spiritual one he rubbed it in scars face gore he was nothing like I don’t even remember them talking. He was always praising Mufasa. Obviously that can make a girl like you more and don’t see the other good traits of another person . 6th lastly although he betrayed Mufasa by going to the outsiders . When Mufasa was fighting with the outsiders king he went to the extent of saving Mufasa again to the point he even got his scar ? Like so many sacrifices ? I understand why he was jealous I don’t blame him either. Mufasa also could have been there for his brother and not put everything for himself. More especially after all the sacrifices his brother did .
