And another special thing about Seventeen is that the members don't just limit themselves to their roles in the group, the rappers and dancers can sing very well

I will say this until the day I quite literally DIE. Seventeen WOULD NOT BE Seventeen without all thirteen members This is because each member has done something for the group, whether that be producing music (Woozi, S.coups and Vernon), creating choreography (Hoshi, Dino, Jun and The8), becoming a variety superstar and going on multiple different variety shows to promote Seventeen in their early stages (Seungkwan), providing ethereal visuals that get people hooked into wanting to know who they are ( Jeonghan, Joshua, Wonwoo and Mingyu), or just being a pure body of sunshine that helps every member push through darker times and provide support, smiles, and laughter to the fans and group (Dokyeom). Every member did something for Seventeen to help them achieve the status and fame they have today. Many people know Seventeen as that one group who are strong performers and funny entertainers, as Seventeen has this unique feeling (as u stated towards the end) where they are 13 talented boys who love their job and work hard all while still having FUN. They are fully self-produced as they joined Pledis in 2015 (Pledis was quite broke at the time as they only joined Hybe in 2020) and were put with complete strangers who all wanted to debut. Now I could get in the specifics of how their pre-debut life was like, but I won’t because then this would quite literally turn into an essay. All you really need to know is that their debut music video (Adore U) was only made possible because one of the staff members sold their house to have enough money, as well as Vernon’s editing skills and Wonwoo’s laptop gifted by his father. That is how the now famous group, seventeen, started out with. Sure everyone knows who Seventeen is if they listen to k-pop, but it still feels like they are put in the shadows, but what I like to say, “so what?”. Sure, it would be amazing to see them get more popular and have the true level of fame they deserve, but its also nice to be apart of the fandom, Carats, who will do everything and anything to protect the somewhat hidden gem. Whether that be shutting down false articles that state malicious comments about Seventeen or just correcting posts on social media who made comments about Seventeen. Many fandoms of bigger groups like Seventeen (Blackpink, BTS, Stray Kids, etc.) have harsher fan bases who fight with other groups and make their own group look bad, (No hate to any of the groups they make great music and are amazing idol). Carats are kinda known for being that chill fandom, who work hard to protect Seventeen, but don’t start fights with other fandoms that could potentially harm Seventeen. Seventeen is made this famous because of their hard work, but have stayed protected and don’t have many controversies because of their fandom. All around Seventeen has surrounded themselves with great people and a great fandom who look up to them. Many new idols also look up to Seventeen and it becomes no surprise that they have become as known as they are. They are a group of 13 men who have grown together in talent, relationship, and mentality and will stay with each other until the end. Its not always only about the music, its also sometimes about how close the group and members are to each other that brings the fame and have fans stay. Theres a lot more I could say about Seventeen, but I think its best I end it here. With Seventeen now starting military enlistment its going to feel different, but we have to stay patient until 2030/31 when they are all back. With that being said, I hope you enjoy my yap fest about Seventeen and I’m genuinely so proud of all 13 of them. (P.S. amazing video Josh!!!)

Wow this is so cool! And yes, they are so good. I actually never stanned any group for like 25 years of my life and then I started listening to seventeen and was hooked. I love their music and style. Yes I may not like all their songs but like 90% of what they do and its amazing! Even their performances are soooo good!

If I could add to this video, it is known that all 13 members have to approuve a song for it to be released even though they all have unique styles, making every song out there extremely well worked. Furthermore, they are very well rounded, working on every aspect of their idol image, for exemple variety, fan meetings, fashion etc. As a proud carat, I am so happy that my group is so hands on and still remain very humble !

leaving a like & comment for my boys. so fond of them. a video discussing svt's music? say less. love when someone can elaborate rly well abt what makes svt so impressive, esp when it comes to dissecting parts of their music bcs I feel like I rarely see ppl rly dig into it(?). love the editing btw! they've always been so consistent & although I can't always keep up with wtv they're up to rn bcs of irl business, I know that I can trust in woozi & svt to always be a comforting presence through their music & message. I also love that--if that man's not in the credits for producing like 99% of their discography, then he'll likely be credited for writing the song at the v least. feels v heartfelt & honest yk? I think that's what they do best. being their most vulnerable, down to earth, authentic self & connecting with ppl

I think this video is one of the few ppl that actually talk abt SEVENTEENs talent aside from looks etc. i think the video rlly talked well abt bumzu and woozi and their talent and how hardworking they r, and also talked abt hiphop unit and how much talent they have and discriped the voices and the way they rap, same for performanc unit and hoshi how hes rlly rlly extremely hard working and helped in alot of there choreographys and vocal unit obviously how he described the seungkwan dk part well, also the beat drops the instrumentals, overall the video was rlly entertaining 🎶🎵

Seventeen is my youth. I’m the same as Seungkwan and Vernon, so we went through similar stages of life during the same time (with the rest of act as well). Being comforted by their songs through uncertainty of growing up meant a lot. Forever grateful. The thing I admire the most is that they’re all still together. 10 years, 13 members, different backgrounds and personalities… Their bond is so strong . I know they’re popular and getting a lot of recognition nowadays but.. they deserved this years ago. I just hope the industry is kind to them from now on.

I liked how you grouped their growth musically as youth, adolescence, and adulthood. I never thought of it that way but that is fitting It makes me wonder what type of music they will do after they're done with their military service.

I've been a carat for only 4 years but something i noticed about svt's popularity is that, yes, they're really big now but they just don't have enough hype to support that popularity. what i noticed too is that their fame did not came from one viral song. although we know they've made some of the greatest hits in their entire career but they went up in the industry from bottom to top slowly, steadily but definitely sure. They are that group that I'm sure has a loyal fanbase already and i can really see them last much longer in the industry. but given how competitive the industry is, they must remain present and visible. i salute woozi (and bumzu) for being so hard working in creating music. i mean, we're so well fed honestly, every year we get 1-2 comebacks excluding the Japanese ones. svt has always been doing their part and the fandom can only do so much. I'm just saying, when it comes to popularity, virality of every artists' releases is something we cannot predict or control of but it has always been something i wish for svt. i wont sugarcoat it anymore if i say i want svt to achieve SOTY, top the billboard, had their song being played to everywhere and people dancing along with it. I want all those for svt. I want them RECOGNITION more than they get now. and I'm so sure svt wants that too. 10 years in the industry but they've made clearly how much more they wanna achieve. and I hope they really do. as of now the fandom can only do so much, svt will always pour everything to their craft and the rest is up to well, i guess luck. and the general public's taste lol.

I do think Seventeen's songs and their content quality is quite underrated as kpop fans know about them but not about THEM as artists, singers and individuals but as a popular group I entered the world of kpop via BTS (like most international kpop fans) but got sucked in it and it might feel full of hatred to some people but being an army kinda made me negative and toxic. Then, I got to know about seventeen via hybe's game caterers and their HOT song and their was no turning back from that point. These guys (svt) made me a better version of myself and their music became source of comfort for me. I came for other reasons but will stay in kpop for SEVENTEEN ❤❤

As someone who has been following Kpop for over a decade now, they’re literally the only group I still stan. I’m so glad that their rising global popularity hasn’t exactly altered their “kpop”-iness (which has happened a lot for other groups and made me lose interest…). Additionally SVT’s concerts are the only ones that feel like home to me cuz of how amazingly natural they are in being able to interact and hype up Carats. Not only that, it’s so inspiring how all 13 members genuinely care and support each other 🥺 hope they continue to stay together for many more years to come. Forever a Carat 💎💗

seventeen is a strange oxymoron-- almost anyone and everyone who knows anything about kpop knows who they are, but the vast majority dont know much ABOUT them, much less that theyre one of the standout self producing groups. many people forget that in their early years they stood shoulder to shoulder with BTS, and had almost the same origin story-- a self produced group that fought against the odds and saved their conpany from bankruptcy singlehandedly. they're well known but underappreciated, and i hope more people recognise them in the future, maybe even because of this video
