Dried herbs were used when Italians migrated to Australia as our climate in Melbourne wasn’t able to produce fresh basil all year round. They had to make do with what was readily and locally available. (Also why the 70s carbonara had bacon in it. No guancale mass produced, but bacon everywhere.

That Deep End pizza Chicago style slice is better with the ranch sauce dip you can get as a side in my opinion. Goes really well with the thick base.

Haha iv noticed a running theme on your channel with traditional pizzas is they quite often don't have enough cheese, and I definitely agree! But that crisp from the crust was magical!! id make it disappear anyway....

I thought his performance was all bulls#*t tbh 🤣 for a start that pizza from the 1st appearance looked absolutely delicious, secondly his face after the 1st bite said it all... his eyes lit up and you could tell straight away he liked the taste lol and from then on out he tried to downplay it :-/ fess up m8 and just admit it was a damn good pizza 🤣

You’ve got it all wrong! Always honest with our reviews. It was decent, not amazing. Flavour was good, way too oily, not really much crisp, reheated rather than fresh - can’t be handing out big scores for that! Cheers for sharing though

I don't know what that is (Roman?), but it ain't Detroit. Look up pics of the retired Mary's Pizzeria for the perfect Detroit. Places in Sydney like Oltra, Ta Ta Ta and Bondi serve something similiar to Deep End.
