Do you use the same camera body brand for your lenes?

Completely ignored the use of Micro 4/3 systems, which are an excellent solution for wildlife photography. Completely biased.

If the rumor is true that Sony is working on a 400 with a built in TC would you want to get that vs the 300 you love so much? I'm having a hard time convincing myself the 300 would be enough to make me happy with it's reach.

what's your solution for high frame rate and audio? sony fx6 doesn't record audio in slow motion, sometimes is hard to decide if I shall record audio in 24/60fps or 120 fps slow motion without audio. perhaps record some audio at the begining of each shooting? or use a audio recorder just record all the time?

I am very happy to see that you finally came to your senses and switched to a good camera brand... SONY. 😂😂😂

It was great seeing this, we so enjoyed our time at Jaci’s Tree Lodge and our guide Simon and the wonderful people at the lodge made our trip so special and memorable. Simon was a great guide who found us so many animals and showed us the stars too. I also enjoyed how the park limits the number of cars and time on a sighting as opposed to how things are in the Maasa Mara where there can be 30 or more cars around a tree with a leopard in it. Our trip was booked with Pangolin who put together a great trip for us, we met the best photo hosts and guides. I learned so much from them. The trip was to have been a once in a lifetime experience but we loved it so much we are currently working with Pangolin to book our next trip in 2026!

Visited the Pangolin Chobe, Kanana in the Delta and Jaci's Lodge in Madikwe in September 2024. Jaci's was my favorite by far. The park is extremely well managed. There are a very limited number of vehicles and they are all in communication and work together (regardless of which property they're from). The guides have an app that lets them know exactly where animals have been spotted. The vehicles also take turns with an animal so that it isn't the free for all it is at Chobe. Our guide, David, was great. Even after 24 years of guiding tourists he was enthusiastic and excited about seeing the animals. He even got his phone out to record one of the spectacular animals that we saw. I was impressed that someone who has seen almost everything from a safari vehicle could get that excited! Very outgoing and he made some mean drinks and snacks! And he knew how top locate the vehicle for us to get some great shots. From discussions with other guests and from talking with the other guides they are all this way. The wildlife is also spectacular. Even saw a black rhino. David had to do some nifty driving to see that one. The only thing I missed were the wild dogs, who had just given birth and were being very protective. I understood why the guides didn't want to disturb them. And Ms. Noree was very lucky to spot the brown hyena. We saw them at dusk and they blended right into the rock formation that is shown on the video. We wouldn't have seen them if not for the cooperation between the guides. And as the video talks about, you don't have to leave the lodge to see most animals. The hide is fantastic but the viewing platform was just as good. The pond/lake attracts numerous animals so you can shoot their photos with a drink in your hand. Can't say enough about Jaci's and our guide David!

I have been there twice booked through Pangolin. Great place!!! Ask for Bianca as your driver. she's the best. The tunnel to the hide can be a little claustrophobic but worth it. Went from there to Timbavati and Tanda Tula (Thanks Sam, for the suggestion). Will see you all in February (can't wait) in Kenya. Staying up north this time around adding Lewa and Shompole to the epic Kenya trip. Pangolin is the BEST!!
