At final scene on left. Tokaido Line colours ?
@14ikesan125 күн бұрын
At Tochigi Station (last scene), the train seen on the left has a stainless steel body with additional green and orange lines, i.e. the same color scheme as the Tokaido Line trains.

Minor note; Where were the station markers? You generally have them,so why the omission?? Good video,beautifully laid out line,and really highspeed! Thank you 😇 😊!
@14ikesan123 күн бұрын
I don't know why station names are not displayed at the ends of the platforms in this section. Of course, there are station names displayed for passengers in the center of the platform, and the drivers practice driving many times before they become fully trained, so they are familiar with the names of the stations, as well as the curves and gradients.

A very nice trip on an interesting, varied route - with wonderfully soft sunlight and optimal image quality - thank you very much 🙏! At first I thought that the driver's cab on this railcar series was on the right-hand side because you could often see a section of a head with a hat and glasses first, and then later even the whole person for a short time... 🤔🙄 But then an arm with a white glove kept appearing in the picture from the left and pointing to something outside the window - just like Japanese locomotive drivers do, as I've already learned in many of your videos... ☺️ So the actual locomotive driver must have been sitting on the left as always (similar to left-hand traffic in Japan and the signals and signs also to the left of the track)! 😊 The person on the right was probably just a companion or an instructor - I've seen the same thing during trainspotting sessions off the track in my home country: one person was probably a new train driver and the second person was an observed or experienced train driver who gave the last important instructions on this track... 😌 Best wishes and have a nice weekend 👋
@14ikesan127 күн бұрын
Your deduction is correct. Following the British example, Japanese trains drive on the left side of the road, and as a rule, the driver's cab is on the left side. On this day, the new driver sat on the left and the veteran sat on the right. In Japan, it is customary to call this instructor "master." Apparently, when a driver becomes fully trained, his peers sometimes ask him, "Who is your master?" This "apprenticeship system" has survived on Japanese trains, and so it seems that masters raise their apprentices either strictly or kindly.

A very beautiful railway line, I can understand why many tourists like to travel on it! Running special steam trains here makes perfect sense: the encounter with the Japanese "C57" steam locomotive series was simply wonderful 👍🙏 I recently saw a special steam train driving through my hometown by chance. This type of locomotive with exactly this number used to run on this route in the steam locomotive era! Fortunately, it is far from being "old iron" but has been restored and is now used in front of many special trains - just like the Japanese locomotive in your video 😊
@14ikesan123 күн бұрын
The steam locomotives that run on this section are C11s, smaller than the famous C57s in Japan. The C57s are 2-C-1 tenders, and the C11s are 1-C-2 tanks, so you can imagine how big they are. However, I don't think you can tell how big the locomotives are from this video. As the name suggests, the Kinugawa Line was built along the Kinugawa River, and although we can't see it in the cab view, we can enjoy the river view everywhere. Hot spring inns are built along the river, making the views from the rooms wonderful. When Japan's economy was booming, many tourists used this line on weekends and during the high season. Now it's a bit sluggish. Operating steam locomotives is one way to revitalize the line. Everyone hopes that the old vitality will return. Thank you for your comment.

Inside this train, a child was playing with closing the doors. (The car has a door open/close switch that passengers can operate at will.) The father was the first to notice that a steam locomotive was coming from the front at the station. The mother then explained to the child, "Look ahead. There's a steam locomotive (SL) coming," but the child didn't notice, so the mother tried her best to explain, "Look ahead, ahead, ahead. It's not that way, it's the front." Eventually the child seemed to notice, but the adults seemed to be having more fun.

One of your beautiful rides, sir. I enjoyed the lush green lineside scenery, the result of a lot of rain, and warm and humid weather. Makes someone from Arizona, USA, quite jealous! We usually measure rainfall in centimeters!
@14ikesan1217 күн бұрын
Japan is a humid country, and plants grow on the soil quickly. There are many scenes in which tracks are laid on rocky mountains in overseas model railroad layouts (especially in the United States), but there are almost no such scenes in Japan. As a modeler, I find that a little boring.
@user-AZ-phil17 күн бұрын
This is a decidedly fun video! I very much enjoyed the ride, with it's different perspectives, as well as the town scenes at each station, as well as the beach and surfer views. You put in a lot of effort to make this video, and I very much appreciate it! I also hope you didn't get a cold, considering how much time you were out in the rain!,

Thank you for your comment. It's been a few days since I finished shooting, but I haven't sneezed yet. Introducing the appearance of the railway by including various scenes, not just cab views. That's a fun job for me. It's hard to shoot long distances, so I'm thinking of limiting it to two or three stations and introducing the key points. I look forward to your continued support.

Someone else says you can't take photos or film when it's raining... There's a saying: "There's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing!" 😉😂 I hope you didn't get too wet, especially in the scene on the beach and the surfers in the surf... In any case, very interesting scenes with different vehicles and paint jobs, even filming from the side of the vehicle can provide great perspectives, especially at dusk and the first lights in the houses and on the street 👍🤗 From 07:26 I noticed the pantograph on the canopy on the right of a shop and then the locomotive sticking out below... 😮 What could that be? In our country, we'd assume it was a model railway shop... 😄 Very good impressions of rain - thank you very much! "Enoden" is not just an experience when the weather is nice 🤗
@14ikesan1217 күн бұрын
Thank you for your comment. It is true that shooting in the rain is less successful, and it was especially difficult to get a successful shot with reversal film. There is also the risk that if the camera gets wet, it will become unusable in an instant. However, with digital cameras, it is easy to correct the color balance, and the water resistance of cameras has improved, so the possibility of shooting in the rain is increasing. With videos, it is more important to capture the movement than the color balance, so from now on, I will probably shoot more in the rain. This also applies to me. However, seawater is no good. One drop of water will ruin the camera. The strange shop with a train and pantograph is a Japanese sweets shop. It seems that the previous owner was a train fan. This shop has become quite famous in Japan. I will introduce the sweets here soon.

The best and most charming part of the video is the child talking in the background. Everyone thinks that going to Europe is what it’s all about but I would say that visiting Japan would be the very best place to visit. Lived there for a year and found the Japanese people to be incredible on many different levels. They always made me feel welcomed and I was very honored to be a guest in their country.

Yes. I'm very happy that foreigners can sense the atmosphere inside the train. Listening to a conversation in Japanese, I heard a mother with a little girl express her gratitude for being given up the seat to the left of where I was standing, and then the two of them talked about the view from the window. The mother's words were trying to teach the girl many things. The girl said things like, "The Shinkansen is fast," and "There are a lot of Keio Line trains stopping at the station." At the scene, I was listening to her words and thinking, "That's nice."

A very beautiful, and very different ride, from what you have shown me in the past. The views down from the line are neat. Very different from an elevated rail line. The station architecture fits the uniqueness of the monorail. All in all, this is a unique experience! Thanks for capturing this for us!
@14ikesan1218 күн бұрын
Monorails often block the view with their tracks, but this line has large windows, so I was able to enjoy the view. It's important to try things out. We can discover many new things.
