中央西線前面展望 木曽福島→宮ノ越・日出塩→塩尻 ＜Cabview Japanrail Chuo Line KisoFukushima→Miyanokoshi・Hiseshio→ Shiojiri＞

, and the train I'm riding on is the same.
The map at the beginning of the video shows that the train runs 41.9 km, and the train actually runs that section, but the video omits some sections along the way.
The omitted sections are a series of tunnels, and the driver lowers the curtain behind the cab to avoid being reflected in the passenger compartment lights on the front window.
This is a safety measure, but it means that all I can do is wait for my next turn, that is, for the driver to raise the curtain. For that reason, the video only includes sections without tunnels, and is short, about 18 minutes long. (´；ω；`)
Still, the atmosphere of this video changes dramatically along the way. The long, deep valley that runs along the Kiso River comes to an end, and from Hijishio Station onwards, a landscape with a sense of openness spreads out in the direction of the train.
The final stop, Shiojiri Station, is a connecting station with the JR Chuo Line (Chuo East Line). The station is large in scale. The train continues to Matsumoto Station, but the next video will upload the train from Shiojiri Station to Matsumoto Station.

アクセスありがとうございます。中央西線の前面展望、木曽福島駅から宮ノ越駅までと、日出塩駅から塩尻駅までです。冒頭の地図では41㎞を走るとあり、実際に列車はそれだけの距離を走っているのですが、この途中では、トンネルが連続し、運転台背後の遮光幕が降ろされますので、ビデオも残念ながら割愛です。ビデオはおよそ18分の長さです。
日出塩駅から先で、中央西線の車窓の雰囲気はがらりと変わります。長く続いた、細く、深い木曽谷が終わるのです。前面展望は、いかにも長野地方らしい開放感に満ちています。2024年8月撮影

Thank you for bringing us another fascinating video of train ride through the mountains. I love the greenery as far the eye can stretch. Inner Japan is very beautiful and luscious. I would not mind living the rest of my living life in that part of the world. The residents of that part of Japan are very lucky to be treated to such a fascinating world.

As you point out, rocky mountains with sharp angles are visually attractive, but mountains covered with trees may be better for long-term viewing. For us Japanese, mountains covered with plants are commonplace and a boring landscape. Many trees produce a lot of water. I must take more photographs of such landscapes.

Just as Japan has its own unique beauty, Arizona has its own beauty. And it seems that the current Japanese railway is in a period of great stagnation. Will it be view on Fuji San from west side ?

We can't do that. The mountain in front is in the way. If we take the Chuo East Line to Yamanashi Prefecture and can see Mt. Fuji from Nirasaki Station, or if we climb the 2000m mountain near Kobuchizawa Station, it is possible.

@@14ikesan12 My first view on Mt. Fuji from Mt. Komagatake. There was big surprise to see Mt. Fuji from Hiratsuka, with ice and without next weeks.

@@MarBiel The "koma" in Komagatake means horse. Horses are creatures that have a close relationship with humans, and there are mountains named Komagatake all over Japan. Is the Komagatake mountain you climbed in Hakone? If so, you'll be very close to Mt. Fuji, so the view will be good. Other view spots of Mt. Fuji that are relatively close to Hiratsuka include Mt. Kintoki, Mt. Yagura, and Mt. Mitsutoge. They all take about an hour to climb, so it's a bit tough. (^^;
