Hey Harry! Love your vids, since you have photos of the pedals, i think you should put photos of it already dialed in instead of stock photos so people can really follow your instructions. All in all, great vids. Subbed!

Really helpful review, Harry. The challenge as always is versatility vs getting a particular sound (in this case a rock trio where a single guitar has to do a lot of tonal work). The answer, of course, is to have more than one guitar but if that’s outside the budget then I suspect something like a PRS with its various split coil options gives you the variety of sounds you’ll need, but the feel is somewhat function vs a distinctive form. I love Muse and Matt’s guitar genius, I want to support a British guitar manufacturer, and I want the PF-1/sustainiac sound that really only comes with a Manson for the songs that tone is needed. Decisions decisions!
@harrychrisrobin20 күн бұрын
difficult decisions indeed. i very much support the idea of going for a PRS and various split coil options as a standing for a Manson, the only issue with PRS is that their neck width is a little wide.
@melodyandmedicine20 күн бұрын
@@harrychrisrobin yep, another thing to factor in as hand feel and playability will vary from person to person. I can see why, when you find a model that sufficiently blends all the factors you need, you’ll never switch! Probably just need 2 Mansons set up with different pickups 😃

Thanks for creating this video on the Fender history. You packed a ton of history into this production. I Can’t believe I just found this video today and I’ve been researching all kinds of discussion regarding the post CBS era of Fender. I bought one of the American Standard Telecasters back in 1988 and my researching revealed some interesting facts about 1987-88. They started making the American Standard Telecaster in 1987 with very low production numbers, but with high quality hand-picked woods and materials, but it wasn’t until the 1988 production that they added to the Fender catalog. The neck on the 1988 (E 3XXXXX) Tele I have was shaped by Herbie Gastelum who worked for Fender from 1951-2018.(57 years) He was famous for shaping the necks and was nicknamed “The King of Feel”. He’s retired now but still with us.
