Carlos Lopes is a Toronto-based composer, producer and performer of a wide variety of Canadian and international musical projects for film, television, live performance and albums.

He's a Genie Award Winner, a 2 time Gemini nominee and a 4 time Golden Reel nominee.

Carlos has written music for Disney, the CBC, George Harrison's Handmade Films and many others. The Carlos Lopes Group has performed at the Montréal Jazz Festival, the Festival D'Eté in Québec City, and in the DuMaurier Jazz Festivals across Canada.

Incredible musicianship featuring a couple of THE ARROWS who were touring in the early 80's... Miss saxophone player Earl Seymour, my former neighbour and eventual roommate, who succumbed to Cáncer. Earl and Carlos performed weekly, every Sunday at Lido's In The Beach. Their shows attracted a vibrant supportive music community, and CJRT's [91.1 FM Ontario's Jazz Station] Bill King and host, Lido founded the popular BEACHES JAZZ FESTIVAL every Summer in Toronto's Beach. Thank You for sharing.😅
