Incredible musicianship featuring a couple of THE ARROWS who were touring in the early 80's... Miss saxophone player Earl Seymour, my former neighbour and eventual roommate, who succumbed to Cáncer. Earl and Carlos performed weekly, every Sunday at Lido's In The Beach. Their shows attracted a vibrant supportive music community, and CJRT's [91.1 FM Ontario's Jazz Station] Bill King and host, Lido founded the popular BEACHES JAZZ FESTIVAL every Summer in Toronto's Beach. Thank You for sharing.😅

Actually, only Earl out of this lineup was in The Arrows. Rob Gusevs did play with us and was a member of The Arrows, but this is Richard Evans on keys. In fact, he Beach Jazz Festival was started by this band and Lido. We were playing all of the festivals across Canada and I suggested we start one in the beach kinda inspired by the Newport Jazz Fest.

@@CarlosLopesMusic Richard Evans played with the PARTLAND BROTHERS and RIK EMMETT, too, and replaced Rob Pruess in the Phantom's Orchestra Pit before while Teaching at a local College in Toronto. Amazing Songwriter and Arranger. 😅

@CarlosLopesMusic Well, EARL got along "famously" with my roommate, Susan, who bartended at Johnny K's, a few doors West of Lido's in the Beach, but slept in our basement "Living Room" featuring a well-stocked wet bar, fireplace, sliding glassdoor patio walkout, and YES, my giant Fish Tank! In fact, EARL fell in love with "Jack " a Jack Dempsey, as it would chase him as he moved across on our massive six piece sectional Vogel Couch [his sleeping bed], and EARL enjoyed Teasing our monster cichlid and his tank buddies. 😂 Miss EARL with his carefree attitude.
