When you enter oscilloscope mode the signal generator switch to a fixed 1kHz square wave automatically and stays there while you're in oscilloscope mode.

@JohannY2 thank .did you do capacitors esr scope test with it? Even with 1khz it can be done I think. The test is explained in this video in minute 7 in case you don't understand what I mean.thanks a lot.

Has anyone found the anoising buzzer? At first glance after opening, it's invisible... I saw in a video that it could be deactivated in the options accessible by pressing OUT for 5 seconds, but it doesn't work on mine (purchased 09/2024)

Select the X10 mode when using a probe: the probe reduces the signal by a factor 10, and the scope will compensate for that. When the standard crocodile-type clips are used, select X1.

Hello.... My SK35 whistles. I go in with 13V and 20Amp battery. Out with 5V and 2Amp on a raspberry pi. Set 4Amp out. I need the SK35 for Radio applications. The whistles disturbs. Can You help me?.. Gino

The frequency must be below 20 kHz - 1kHz is as good audio test frequency. You also need to send the signal through an audio amplifier to drive a speaker.

@@JohannY3 OK, thank you. Does this generator give out analog Signals or digital? Try to create a signal trough my analog amp, but I didn't get a clear signal rather much rush. Didn't I need a DA converter?

All those" Generatortests " 😂 .Starring at an Oszilloskop to interpret a "Sinewave" is totally useless. To check to Quality of a sinewave ( Harmonics) a Scope has to be switched in FFT mode ( most scopes are able to do this) , and it has to be looked for the amplitude of the 3. harmonic and 5.harmonic of the given wave. But in all those tests they look at a screen with Amplitude/Time relation and not Amplitude/Frequency relation ( measured in dB m).

No, it requires a DC input up to 36V, but we sell it with a AC to DC adapter.

Yes - You can set the voltage to very low, e.g. 1V, and the current high, e.g. 2A, and that way force the short circuit to heat up.

Hi Donnie, Maybe - it depends on the speed of the signal from the sensor. The DSO150 is limited to 1MHz. A product like the Hantek2D82 automotive scopemeter or Hantek1008B automotive PC-scope can, however, measure every sensor in a car. I've been thinking of getting one of these for a while - I currently have a DSO-138 and this seems like it would be a significant upgrade while still being within my budget. Edit: Yes, I know the capabilities are probably about the same, but it's the improved interface that matters for me. Edit #2: Just ordered it - can't wait to receive it!

Yes, you will see clipping and be able to measure RMS. As long as the voltage doesn't exceed 50V peak-to-peak.

We supply the XY-SK80 with a 20W DC adapter that will supply an output current of 0.8W, which is sufficient for most general-purpose uses. Because the XY-SK80 supports up to 5A, you are able to swap out the DC power adapter with one that supports 5A.
