Hi.can you tell me if the sine wave generator works at the same time with the oscilloscope? I want to test capacitors in circuit.thenks

When you enter oscilloscope mode the signal generator switch to a fixed 1kHz square wave automatically and stays there while you're in oscilloscope mode.

@JohannY2 thank .did you do capacitors esr scope test with it? Even with 1khz it can be done I think. The test is explained in this video in minute 7 in case you don't understand what I mean.thanks a lot.

What's the "IN" input for?

for testing voltage 0-40v

But only in one direction , you have to be shure of the polarity ... Great chance to blow it up when you probe too high Voltage on it. Usable for Quickcheck 1,5V batteries or 9V blocks , but dont expect more (Impedance only round about 160k ohms).

All those" Generatortests " 😂 .Starring at an Oszilloskop to interpret a "Sinewave" is totally useless. To check to Quality of a sinewave ( Harmonics) a Scope has to be switched in FFT mode ( most modern scopes are able to do this) , and it has to be looked for the amplitude of the 3. harmonic and 5.harmonic of the given wave. But in all those tests they look at a screen with Amplitude/Time relation and not Amplitude/Frequency relation ( measured in dB m).
