Ok, I’ve watched this 3 times as it’s such an epic trip on a strapless and only now just realised you don’t use a board leash and wonder if you came off and wind and tide in opposite direction could you get to your board if so? I start freaking out off shore a few hundred metres and nearly lost 2 boards. Testament to your confidence and skill man.

As someone who lives with a T12/L1 spinal cord injury - I appreciate Mike saying at kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4HHmKiAgcalras that MOST with SCI do not walk again. The issue with the focus on walking / mobility is that the OTHER issues with SCI - bowel, bladder, sexual function, pain, etc rank much HIGHER as a priority for those living with SCI compared to walking. Most media outlets do a disservice to all those living with SCI by only focusing on mobility.

This is one of the most amazing stories I've ever seen. I shattered all 7 C vertebraes in my neck in 1982. Walked out of the hospital 6 months later. It's been a very long and hard road since but never give up. This man is just incredible.

This is so inspiring I have a C4 incomplete spinal cord injury four and a half years out from injury. I was told I would only have one percent chance to ever walking again, but just a few months ago I started being able to walk with supported assistance. My biggest advice would be never give up believe in yourself and most importantly have faith in the man above ❤️ when you have faith, anything is possible

I grew up in a foothill area of southern california where the wind was something else at certain times of the year. a kid with a cheap kite could easily launch the thing without even running or anything just literally let it go and watch the string unwind....it would be so high!! You could even tie it off go eat dinner and come back and it is still way the H up there! I remember being too lazy to reel the things back in and so I would just let em go! Bye kite! LOL ....I remember having flying dreams with strong wind and I WAS the kite! Great fun for kids....not so sure how it can excite adults though???....maybe not a lot of other options? lol idk to each their own I recon I only looked this up because kite fighting is refrenced in Jack Reacher season 2
