This video comes up in my feed about every few years and never fails to make me sad. These guys were initially reacting like most of us do when the news channels overdo the breaking news, until they learn she had died. Damn paparazzi.

My husband and I waited up watching this when it happened and I remember feeling hollow and devastated by the news. My husband and I suspected as soon as we saw the car that she had passed soon.

I wonder if there are any home videos of people reacting to 9/11. Not from these guys, just anyone.

Since I was born, they have been of innocence. But they latch onto you and internal instincts just create a freak out. But seriously is anyone breeding them and observing their development first hand? What's the difference between a 13 or a 17-year incubation?

I remember waking up to this story playing nonstop on the news. I was 11 when she died. A tragic loss for the world, she was stunning inside and out.

What an amazing capture of history unfolding

I remember this like it was yesterday. She was the same age as me, and it all seemed so unreal. I cried for weeks and weeks afterwards, and did so many fellow Brits.

I don't think anyone was expecting the outcome to be that..

I was also hanging out with a couple of friends when this happened. We were having a few beers, talking with the TV on in the background, when it flashed on the screen Diana had died. All three of us gasped and said, "Those poor boys!" referring to William and Harry.

I was six when this happened. She was my first person I remember recognizing in news and culture and all around. This was the story I first remember crying to.

I was only 17-18 yrs old, but I too, was devastated and heart broken. This was truly a heartbreaking evening for the whole world! RIP Princess D!!

Cameraman always unfazed

Imagine if they recreated this moment in a scene in Netflix’s “The Crown”, but it’s this particular moment when American citizens reacted to the death of Princess Diana. That would have been crazy.

I can remember the night the news broke. I was watching SNL with my parents and little brother and they cut straight to the news right before the Spice Girls performance. I was 15 and I had such a crush in sporty spice. (Im 43 now). And yes I'm embarrassed I was a spice girls fan. My mom used to buy all those silly magazines like the enquirer and star, all the gossip books I recon. I can remember her crying. My father was indifferent. That's one of those moments in time that are burned in my head. My opinion is the queen didn't like her and had the goon squad handle it. But my opinion don't mean shit. Those boys lost there mom. That's all that matters. She was a beloved woman. Gone way too soon.

I was 9 and I remeber it. I had a fever that day. Very sad

Some saw her as the embodiment of their hopes and dreams. Others saw her as a hysterical shrew whose reckless abandon hastened her demise. Regardless of how one felt about her, all had an opinion. She was consequential. She mattered. The same cannot be said of Meghan Markle.

My aunt was pictured at her funeral. I wish I could’ve gotten to know her while she was still alive.

I was only 13 years old in 98 when I came out. Wished I could have been older and lived in New York during those times. They sure looked magical.

Imagine if people cared about each other this much nowadays.

We were stationed in Germany and woke up to this news that morning. My daughter was 3 at the time and was devastated to hear that her princess had died. She watched every minute of the funeral so she could be sure that Diana got the send off she deserved. I remember feeling heartbroken for Diana and for my daughter.

As a teenager who was never around during her time, i got to see how life was so simple back in teh days. No one really plays cards and just chill with their friends anymore.

i remember my mum being hit hard by her death. we taped the funeral on vcr and she would watch it back some days... also the moment the vibe changes as the announcement is made is chilling... from friends enjoying their time together , to hearing of her passing.... absolute chills

He smiled in that moment because he hadn't fully comprehended the almost ridiculously terrifying line on the TV he just read out loud.
