Cool video. I was working in Iowa City at the time and lived in a rented room close to downtown. Spent a lot of time in the area. Loved the pedestrian mall. Eating at the food carts and watching people. This video shows me Iowa City as I remember it. Sorry to see Shawn is no longer with us.

Oh 96 the glory days! I had a lot of long term dependency issues in childhood of elements of daily life that normal people take for granted but that year was at the start of my memories and it was an amazing time! I went with my dad everywhere to all his jobs and felt like i had quite a life back then. I just get happy whenever I see 1996 even though I barely started school.

Brings back memories, I almost forgot about that fountain, they got rid of it when I was still a kid. I still remember Aladdin's castle on the 2nd floor of the mall and the movie theater too, now it's all office buildings on the 2nd floor.
