Thank you for this video, it was fun to watch. I have Bobbi Brown, Tarte, MAC recent palettes but my favourites are Pat McGrath. I tried Natasha Denona palettes but had too much fallout so I give up on those. I recently treated myself to Givenchy No.9 palette and can’t wait to play with those.😊

I love this topic! I had a similar evolution during lockdown. I gave up denim a while ago too. Also fabric in general matters A LOT as you get older (I'm 41). The 100% polyester items do not work! Also where is the guide?!

Great list! I have several tabs own now with highlighters to consider, lol. Fenty Demi'Glow Light-Diffusing Highlighter in Java Jitters is another a good brown highlighter (true highlighter not a blush).

You should! There are so subtle and smooth. But you can build them up if you want something more pronounced.

Great video. I have the NARS pallet and the 2 Hourglass pallets. By far my fav is the NARS pallet. That NARS blush you showed is the one I use for highlighter the most. It’s gorgeous with the red blush in the pallet. I like the 3 pan Hourglass pallet and use the middle as a type of bronzer/highlight.Surprisingly the Hourglass larger pallet is ok, depending on the look I’m going for, especially the rose (hate the silver streak though) and the orange. I consider that pallet more a summer/spring pallet. I don’t have any other highlighters I would recommend. I’ve got to try the HL Chocolate Opal!

@@MyCrownstar if you love the nars blush, you’ll really enjoy the Haus labs highlighters. I want to love the hourglass palette, but it’s way too light for me. I can use the orange and the copper as blush toppers but they are intense on my skin tone.

Please always remember deep skin doesn’t mean you have to stick to certain colors and brands. All colors look good on dark skin. Just blend and be confident🎉❤ don’t let anyone take away or downplay your self assurance

Or what areas/neighborhoods are good? I’m moving from Chicago next year from work and searching for a place to rent…would love a townhome or something that isn’t in a large apt complex. Thanks

Hi Ashleyh! Thanks for tuning in. I actually found my townhome on Zillow surprisingly. I was over large complexes as well. When it comes to great neighborhoods, there are a TON! I actually don't live in Dallas proper, I live in a very far north suburb. So it really depends on what side of town you prefer or if you need to be close to something. Dallas will have you driving far if you're not careful 😂

Great haul. As a deep complexion person you are so right about the ABH pallet, I may need to rethink that pallet. If that pallet had Navy it would be perfect! There is really no comparison between the Patrick Ta pallet and Danessa Myricks in my mind. Danessa’s pallet is an all over face pallet and Patrick Ta is an eyeshadow pallet. I passed on Patrick Ta because the top colors are cool tone which wash me out. I should take a look at the Sephora pencils. I had the same thought on blue smudgy liner. I bought the Iconic London liner, that has 2 sides, 1 smaller liner and the other side thicker in blue, which was more expensive than Sephora. I had to order and it will probably take 2 weeks to get😢

Need to take a look at the Iconic London lines, I've never purchased anything from the brand. I'm enjoying the ABH palette more than I thought I would. I also just ordered Pat McGrath's new single blue eyeshadow. I was going to order the Natasha Denona mini blue 5 pan, but it didn't have the shimmery blue. I'll have to use it in a get ready with me video. Glad you enjoyed the haul. I just uploaded part 2!

@@itschefevelyn ooh, I will go take a look at the part 2 video. I got my Sephora order earlier than usual. The Iconic pencil in “Electric Blue” is nice. In my opinion it’s more Navy than Electric Blue, but wears well and doesn’t bleed. It dries quickly, so if you try 1 eye at a time. I need to take a look at Pat McGraths single shadow! Thanks

I struggle with this. As a Christian I want to do my best and represent God well in the workplace. Burnout is real though and then, no amount of flogging can produce more work. I also think a person's career can become an idol so keeping work in its place is important.

Hello..this is my first time ever seeing you on my feed. I’ve never heard this term “ quiet luxury” I love it. And I’m in total agreement with you about the things you were saying. I was a girl that grew up in a big city, and as a child, I knew I would grow up & get massages, travel the world, live in a affluent neighborhood & drive luxury vehicles. It took a long time for me to get there, but I made it there. When I was raising my children I considered a housekeeper, my family said I was talking crazy & my husband at the time got totally scared because of the cost. The house keeper never transpired…I Thank God that my children are grown & I am a single woman that can finally live just as I desire too. I’ve had a quiet luxury mindset all my life. Thank you for the term. I might look into a housekeeper now since you’ve mentioned it 😊

Love this commentary, and I agree. People want luxury to look a specific way, mainly to prove to others outside the community that we can keep up. It doesn’t feel like an internal journey / personal exploration Some of us are on a marketing campaign to show that we can be rich and lavish. When folks like myself just to be left alone, have financial freedom, explore the world, control of your time, etc.

When I was younger, I used to only wear something on my lips and no other real makeup, sometimes mascara! Now I love all the makeup, and I still love ALL the lip options! 💖 My favorites are the Merit Beauty lipsticks and OG lip oils. I love Ilia Lip Wrap, Laneige lip masks, and Oak Essentials lip balm (they're restocking soon!).
