I use this technique all the time, it is now my go-to move from the closed guard bottom. Thanks for sharing! If the partner won’t give you his back after the arm drag (he starts posturing up) you can also do a really powerful flower sweep from here. Osu! ❤️🔵🥋

the reality the guy on top will press his whole body on top of the buttom guy and he will move his body to the side more so it will make it hareder to the guy under to slide the knee inside even you try to bridge. tht gonna be hard.

Great explanation- this is a basic way to create space when they get the underhook and flatten you out in SC. Clearly you clamp down when you shrimp, or go to knee shield or Z guard or start attacking. The point of this is a short quick detail on basic space creation.

With your arms straight like that, wouldn’t it be easier for your opponent to armbar you? If so, what do you do to prevent that? Beginner BJJ practitioner here :))

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Excellent instructional video! You have clearly explained what I have been being taught for months as a white belt! It just takes so long and so much practice, to remember all the moves in real time, and to make them work. Fortunately, it’s slowly coming together!
