I'm not sure what progress Gillou68310 has made with the Zero Hour decompilation. You may need to ask them directly, I am not involved with the project in any way. I was just modding the game as a hobby during this video stream and spreading awareness about it. That's pretty much it really.

Sorry, I thought I'd posted an answer here? I e-mailed the port's author, who was kind enough to reply, but he/she isn't going to release the source port publicly, in case of legal trouble. Disappointing, but understandable. I really hope someone does port Duke Nukem: Zero Hour to the PC, though. It's such a fantastic game.

Thank you for sharing this with the world. Those prototypes and beta's are like a wild fever-dream! I just recorded a full playthrough of the first episode. I'll start posting those tonight. I added a list to the description of my videos with changes between the 1.4 Beta and the commercial release that I've encountered during my playthrough,

Good god, that prototype intro Duke is terrifying! Kind of interesting that it seems to use EGA colors when the rest of the intro is VGA. I guess that proves the rumor that the game was originally developed with EGA and then hastily converted.

Would be cool to get the source code. I pestered [name redacted] about it a decade or so back... The vibe that I got is that the team didn't really want it found, between the stolen art assets from Amiga games, to the way things ended at Apogee/3DRealms. And also probably the fact that nobody wants to mess with an old Amiga to recover the work. It's like they want it lost and forgotten.

Fun Fact: If I’m not mistaken, the woman with the pistol seen throughout this trailer is Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison, who was originally envisioned as Duke’s companion in Forever before going on to star in games of her own. Namely, Ion Fury, 3D Realms’ spiritual successor to Duke Nukem!

Ugh, DNF had so many chances to be an Incredible, ground-breaking masterpiece on the level of System Shock or Half-Life 2, both here and in the 2001 version. Seeing what we could’ve had…it hurts. And with the rights to Duke Nukem in the hands of that walking, talking grease trap slimeball Randy Pitchford, Duke’s probably never gonna have the chance to redeem his name…

I've had my eye on this for a while. Been playing loads of the Perfect Dark PC port recently. So good. I have a N64 and PD cart, but I hate the N64 controller. I've also used the version of 1964 with mouse/keyb support. It just feels janky to me. Likewise I've tried Zero Hour in an emu with mouse/keyb. Same janky feeling.

Duke Nukem: Zero Hour is a fantastic game (my favourite Duke Nukem game), but sadly not too many people seem to have played it. A PC port would be fantastic! Thanks go to everyone involved in this project.

I'm really looking forward to the home stretch of the game. Currently, the code is at 99.12% and bytes 94.96%.

Yep they got a Duke Editor now that's been recreated by IceColdDuke. This is still working in progress. As for the modding scene it's in very early stages. My friend DukeSixtyFour has been making maps for it, He released a small map pack for multiplayer which this can be found on ModDB, plus gets updated monthly. I made this video just in case this became useful for people that want to play single player user maps if there are any. As for multiplayer you have to replace maps, There's not a good method to play custom ones in the base game. But it should do fine for right now until a new method is found. : )
