!! I am using both the 35mm and 50mm on the ronin 4d with no problems at all. E mount.. not sure what you are experiencing. Footage is fantastic with it and no rebalancing between the two. Favorite lenses for the 4d right now.

@@Filmgoblin personally, that’s not very important to me.. but it is certainly there. If anything that’s its biggest weakness. That actually says a lot though because it’s not terrible in most real world shots where you’re not jumping from minimal focus distance to infinity like in a test.

The three biggest dealbreaker for me regarding the NISI lenses : 1- The rear protruding element that make them unusable with Speedbooster or a Poco Mofage adapter (which I use with my Blackmagic Full Frame) 2- The fact that you can't change the mount on the NISI. Many cinematographer/filmmaker have more than one camera and system, and the fact that you can use them on different system is huge deal for. For exemple, I can use my Vespid primes on both my Blackmagic (with the Poco Mofage in PL) and my GH7 (with my Speedbooster in EF). 3- NISI doesn't have a macro lens. Having the 90mm macro in the type of work I'm doing is essential. The softest doesn't bother me at all, I kinda like this look when I'm wide open at T2.1. They definitely got sharper at T4 and up. And finally, I think the Vespid render skintone better than the NISI, but this is just my personal taste. Nice review, it just make me more happy with my purchase :)

im confused the simera c do not work with the dji ronin 4d e mount? or did you mean to say it does not work with the native DL mount? i dont know why they wouldnt work with the dji ronin 4d e mount. if that is the case what mount do you reccommend then?

The Simera C with E mount doesn’t work with dji ronin 4D e mount because, it doesn’t fit into the mount due to it’s small body construction 😵💫 I told them about this and they told me there is going to be a 4D ronin mount lens as well 👌

Nope, I havne't said 4k sucks or anything, I'm still using my Fx3 and Fx30 daily and for most jobs it's amazing, but when you get the opportunity to film a full length feature film you want to bring out the big guns and do something a little bit more exciting don't you think? Also when I will have the approval to showcase the footage from the film you will see how big of a difference is between the film footage which was shot on 8k and the behind the scenes footage which was Fx3. It's nigh and day differece.

Great video. But your reasoning for shooting 8k vs 4k honestly didnt make any sense. You saying that u would get grain in your videos in RARE conditions, mentions of correlation between megapixels and noise level was backwards and u said the burano has dual Iso like any other camera you shoot with professionally doesnt. Honestly i was waiting for you to say that 8k provides a greater ability for reframing/cropping in post but you didnt even say that so honestly im confused with what was the true purpose of the video. There was other things but i really think in the future u have to be careful what you say on youtube becuase now some young filmmaker is gonna think that their cameras 4k isnt good enough which is totally the opposite

I haven't shot 8k because of reframing, I guess my message wasn't understood correctly. I didn't say there is something wrong with 4k at all, I said that I decided to shoot 8k because it was something new for me and it brought me joy and enthusiasm. Also when I got home and checked the footage I was amazed on the details and how clean the image was compered to 4k footage I was used to and this brought up even more excitement.

People are still watching 4k on 1080 or 1080 on 4 k screens, but if you don’t film on 24 k your are nobody, even today this camera industry became so ridiculous, with a 20 year old camera you still can’t make difference but ….a lot to say in one comment.

I haven't shot raw since the Ronin 4D records in Prores Raw and Davinci Resolve doesn't support it :( but I got amazing results with Prores 422 and it graded super nice.

@ nice I have only used it once for a commercial and I literally had to send runners out to buy 6 external hard drives for the DIT. But I was not to sure apart from access to exposure, iso etc… would you get a better grade if you shot raw? I currently use 422 for all projects at but have asked myself this.
