I havent worked on a car radio since 2003 though im pretty tech savy. On a scale of 1-10 how difficult do you think it would be for someone with limited radio install experience to perform the upgrade on a 2009? From what i can tell so far it seems very plug and play.

It's PNP, I rate it a 5/10.....the hardest part is simply removing the factory trim & radio.

Great Advice!!!! I have friends who HAD 1700whp plus GTRs and one of them sold it and the other purchased another car for fun and the GTR only comes out when there is a big money race.

Thanks so much for the real talk. Honest opinion. In Australia here labour is crazy for pulling motor out. If I did exactly as you say PLUS.. RODS PISTONS Stg 1 trans Would that work well as a setup? Please don't laugh lol I've had plenty of great cars I do alot of driving and currently my daily is a performance Tesla. That low end torque is just silly and other cars feel so slow on city streets so I don't want the GTR to be disappointing at all. I want to make up that difference of the instant torque with mid and top end I guess but truthfully I don't want this turning into 50k build

any ideas? i have 13 gtr and it keeps stalling at 3500rpm. then it hesitates to start. have to let it sit for a while then it starts. but then repeats. the cars stock, fuel baskets been changed, fuel pumps have been changed, fuel lines and filters cleaned, ecu has been changed, no cels are being thrown either. no strange engine noises or anything rough. cant figure this out ..

I own an 09, i installed the tsb clips and dodson filter. Flash the gearbox with ecutek. It now has 100k miles and it has absolutely no issues and i drive it like i stole it. Just buy it

I’m running AEM 340 pumps and they came with filters. Would you recommend using those filters instead of the OEM filters?

Thanks a lot, Chris! This is exactly what I have now - fuel cut at WOT. I have Visconti basket with Walbro 450 lph but stock wiring. Was thinking low voltage causes low performance. But now I think about filters. Can’t wait to check :)

Hey Chris, thank you so much for the video. They are having a similar issue, wide-open throttle I get fuel cut. The boost gauge sometimes indicates knock because it blinks. I think that’s what it’s indicating. I’m thinking it’s my bell housing maybe making too much rattle through the engine and creating a false knock. I am 100% full bolt on, bigger, intercooler, piping, speed density, 85 flex fuel kit also I went ahead and added the Visconti fuel wiring kit. With two brand new fuel pumps I have a 2016 with less than 20,000 miles. Not sure where to go from here I sent the logs to my Tuner, he replied that everything looks good to take a look at your bell housing. But I’ve heard those things go bad, and mine does not sound anything like that. Going to check the fuses to see if anything might be up with that. I’m sure it’s something stupid and I might have to go ahead and do the fuel basket with new filters I’ve only run E85 in the car three times in the last three years. I’m mainly on Shell 93

I'm in my low 40s and Tried - I own 09 FBO- it's perfect. I want my car to be very reliable-kid,wife, rain/shine/snow - weekend daily, it's perfect! I agree with 17+ all you need is turbo's+tune

Our rotors rings are designed for the factory hats....so if they are stock hats, yes, will work.

I got 09 - I'm second owner" got the car fully stock! I started with all the maintenance_ new rotors, brakes, AMS Stage2 trans. - trans is very smooth, no marble sound, its quiet and shifts hard! I did fluids, spark plugs, cabin filter, you name it... and to tell you guys the truth, I won't even run E85! car is plenty fast for me and I enjoy driving it! i got set of R Rohana wheels and thinking to do slight drop with lowering springs but still debating .. I paid 41k for my car and its in amazing condition- some 2014 has so many interior scratches and seats are nasty! I know a guy who bought 2017 and he has plenty of issues! and he got his brand new!

It’s 100% true . I am coming from two evo builds , I build second evo with 2,4 block. And it’s start braking . So I got gtr , did the fbo . I was thinking 1500hp , but now I am 40 and just pick up 2018 gtr and I am going with 750x boost logic kit , 800 plus hp.

Had 3 evos in the past....every time you made good power- things would go bad, 2017 are nice, i see people swapping just turbos+tune makes good power! - I'm still with CBA :)

@@st2397 You more than likely need the actual tuner. I doubt those companies would let you use their tune with their physical hardware.

If you have their part # NIS-006 or NIS-008, they include transmission flashing free of charge. The maps are included on the handheld. If you don't, you can upgrade to transmission flashing for $400.

100% My car was FUN at 1000whp and 1400whp was fun but lost the weekend drive/street drive fun now at 1600whp it is basicly just a track car. I with I still had the street fun. Video is 100% spot on.
