Lisa, I’m so excited for you! I was in Japan in April and 😊 I would say that you have a plan. You will be amazed and overwhelmed with the number of the places and amount of goods - this mind blowing for me 👍😀 It is better to choose 4-5 shops in the same area, you can spend an hour in each, maybe more. See what’s offered, prices, learn how to figure out the tags. Most importantly, enjoy the process. You will absolutely find what you will love.

I tried successfully in one shop when I was buying vintage Chanel necklace, but it was the small shop although it was very busy location. I tried to do it in the other stops (much more famous) but they didn’t not even listen you. Also, you need to know that they don’t speak English much at all even in the big department stores, so communication and understanding are the big challenges.

I'm also going to italy in the spring. so priorities. I hope you find some good items from the graffiti collection. i feel like the lv vintage items would be good to check off. excited to see what you pick up on your trip.

Very excited about this video and hearing about your trip to Asia! A caution concerning Rebag for you and your viewers. I’m sure it’s fine. Going into the boutique. Be aware that when they send you a shipping label there is no insurance included. They are claiming that my $1000 Gucci bag that they quoted on never arrived in the box. I now find that the FedEx label they sent me contained no insurance, be careful with them! That is not industry standard for the main players.

Thanks for sharing the warning! I’ve heard similar issues with them in the recent past. Thankfully I can shop and sell with them in person if I want to do business with them. I don’t buy them though (except once I think) as I think their prices are high and I don’t like the whole consignment thing. I’d prefer a straight buyout like fashionphile.

@@luxuryandlifeinthemiddle yes, good prices, bring all of your credit and debit cards, I live in Europe, what you see in Tokyo, you don’t see in Europe, the designer stores are the same, get internet on your phone to use google maps, you get lost and the metro stations are so big I never know which exit do I have to go 🤪 take a guided tour to Fuji Mountain it is beautiful when the sun is shining, hope you will have a lovely time in Asia 😘

I think it is a blessing in disguise that you decided to do low buy this year because you ended up being very selective and all the bags you got this year are phenomenal! I have been inspired to buy fewer bags as well. Although I am not be able to achieve that, the goal does help me to be in check and I am definitely more selective now.
