Omg Lisa!! I clicked on this video so fast! Such a fantastic vlog! The footage you captured was just excellent! Each of you seem to have slightly different footage from one another which makes for a really comprehensive compilation of all the places you visited. You did such a wonderful job of spearheading this event and making sure that the best places (restaurants and shopping) were chosen for those who had a limited amount of time. You are such an amazing friend to all of them and I am now subscribed to Victoria, which I wasn’t previously! I must say, getting a peek inside these resellers’ stores was fascinating! Talk about censor overload! I almost couldn’t take it all in. You can bet I’ll be replaying these videos over and over again. PS: I too dislike the humidity immensely. Tea or afternoon tea is what most of us are partaking in when we go to a tea room. High tea actually refers to the tea that downstairs staff would have as part of their meals during breaks and was very minimal in terms of what was offered, so none of the petit fours, cakes, and tea sandwiches, etc. that are part of a typical afternoon tea.

Afternoon tea was enjoyed by ladies to fill the long gap between lunch and dinner and generally consists of lighter bites such as finger sandwiches, biscuits/cookies and Petite Fours. It’s not designed to really fill you up, more of a snack to get you to dinner time. It’s taken seated at lounge height from a low table like a coffee table around 4-5pm. High tea was for the workers and consisted of more substantial food such as a larger slice of quiche or pie and vegetables. It would’ve been the final meal of the day served around 5-6pm and taken at a high table, such as a dining table. It enabled kitchen staff to eat before serving dinner later to those upstairs. In the north of England many still refer to that last meal as tea because people finished work at various mills or coal mines at the same time and ate early because they were up early. The name has stuck even though lifestyles have changed.

There was no consensus on the difference. Some thought it was fancier. Some thought it was the champagne. I should google it😂

'Infamous' is a pejorative I wouldn't use it to apply to Hermès? Just 'famous' applies. It's a Great Wall of colour! High tea is formal and it refers to the food being stacked up in high layers of serving plates. It's a lot of fun!

You should definitely go. I’m guessing they have even more inventory there since it’s the original. Definitely make a wishlist of the bags you want to see before you go. If you sort by location it really helps narrow it down. Happy shopping!
