You guys stay at a lot of airport hotels. All the Florida hotels were winners for me. If you guys ever play in Pensacola y'all should stay at Portofino Resort. The drummer playing background music on the video is really great.

I love that you guys go out and do some shows, some summer festivals, and a few casinos, and then go back home and enjoy life. Styx is always a fun summer show for me.

“Some shows” - irony? In that compilation there must be well over a hundred locations (and then possibly even more shows).

Oh man when were you in Melbourne beach Fl, Todd ? And where did ya'll play to be staying there ?

First, thanks for your commitment to Styx and for being such a studied drummer. Second, did you ever imagine touring all over the country and overseas when you started playing the drums?

Funny to see some of your facial expressions at the hotels with lackluster views. I presume there are certain cities you go where the band doesn't have a say as to where you'll be staying that night?

Outstanding video Todd. Not long enough…😁 I have a basic idea of your lifestyle, since I have flown some of the classic rock bands around the country as a corporate pilot. Rough life, but very rewarding. I always wanted to be a rock drummer, but I had a bit more ambition to fly airplanes. However, the traveling life is quite similar. Great video!! Thanks for the inside look!

It’s a lot of work maintaining both grips, but I will say this - when my chops are weak, I default to the grip I NEED to play, but when I maintain my chops for both grips, THEN I can make a decision based on the music.

Overplayed, YES!.. dragging the groove, with so much unnecessary fills.. till the end, where he speeds up…. Sorry, a bit Critical, but accurate also.. :)

Todd you did a great job . It shows how many people it takes to run the ship and the band puts the icing on the cake. Could you be the band clown? Was that a role of toilet paper thrown at Will? lol

Thanks for giving us a "bird on the shoulder" view of a day in a tour over many states and towns. I"m so much comfortable out n playing or working with a company doing load in's and load outs. So watching this from your perspective, is awesome! i love being around production and music as i don't get a chance to do so much lately.

I know what you mean. So on the water softener question. I have a water softener on my house in Louisville, and so if the unit is programmed for 16 grain hard water setting, but the water is only 14 grain rated, you end up with the slimly feeling "is the soap all washed off". So that's how the water is treated too much. To me, the water is almost like pond water. So a water softener as you may know, stops the copper pipes from rotting out, you use less soap and the hard water "clings" to your clothes, hair, basically anything you wash with water. I hope that answers your questions Todd, without going to in depth. Good to see Paulie in these clips here. He was quite a guy! Thanks for sharing those. Cheers!

I’m obsessed with this in the best way ! 🥳 I’m learning a bunch of licks, but more so it’s really inspiring my playing to be more “phrase oriented”. I love the vibe, the look, the lighting, and the camera placement (I count 7 cameras, anyone else?). How is it mic’d? Sounds amAzing !!!!! As a lifelong musician I’ve gone through a lot of phases… this video is my latest.
