These things are decently cheap used, actually. With proper VGA, this could actually become my first workstation before I can get my hands on an SGI Indy.

With the right tool you can even replace the SL9600 cpu with the SP9600 version, that's what I did on my E4200 (that wasn't shipped with anything better than the SU9600) and it works flawlessly (apart for heat haha)

I just picked a silver faced model of the RX 402 here in Aus. All the spec sheets say it'll power 4 ohm speakers but on the back of the unit near the speaker ports it says "minimum 8 ohms". Does yours say that too? I don't want to pop this gorgeous thing

@Alex Mit No, I gave it to my brother-in-law about 15 years ago. From memory, the build quality is quite good, and they sound as an amplifier should sound. The signal to noise ratio on FM is not as good as (say) later Sony dedicated tuners. It uses DIN sockets as opposed to phone. Personally, I think the chrome models look better.

I have one of these. Good cards to have: - SunPCI 2 or 3 - allows you to run NT4 via a native x86 coprocessor with its own RAM. - Sun quad ethernet - I ran some Java stations off this, and you can play around with networking if that's your thing. - Expert3D Lite or later graphics cards - these work with Opengl APIs although the e3d lite is absolutely terrible at 2d in CDE! The maximum memory capacity is 2GB via matched 512 Meg modules. The IDE Interface can handle a 120gb Seagate drive although it's a chipset which is notoriously picky about which drives it will support. In this day and age you would be better off with an industrial ide module instead. The Blade 100 does not support Solaris 11, but it's capable enough to allow for some playing around with the power of Zfs, zones and so on under solaris 10. The machines originally launched with solaris 8. Its a fun machine but occasionally a bit slow. I keep CDE on mine instead of the newer desktop environment for speed reasons.

Hiya, I have this amp. I plugged in an aux source into the 6.35 mm port (using a converter). I'm not receiving any sound at the speakers. Interestingly, when the amp is off, there is a low sound from the speakers meaning the audio signal is fine. Anyway I cannot figure out the issue. Would be great if anyone can guide me towards the right direction :)

Hello, does it make any sound through the FM radio?
@saintmetal102 жыл бұрын
@@whatcraphaveyouboughtnow5474 Can't say because I don't have an antenna for FM. Although I have it working fine through the back side dual (white red) Aux ports. But still curious why it's not working through the front port.

I have stayed with Casablanca video editing system. For quite a long time. VIVO standalone unit was a lifesaver for weddings documentaries etc. lasted for a long time and was trustworthy. But now with the new owners I’m very dissatisfied. They have standalone units. Like the studio 4 PRO that runs about 3500 with less software you have to buy less than what the AVIO had on it . And software for your computer. The Bogart 12 and 13 software. Around $600. I bought software. And also the Studio 4 PRO. Both of them crashed on me. I mean totally lost both of them. About 5000 for both of them. Mad as hell I can scream. Because they wanted me to send in my Computer and Studio 4PRO for $500 or more to fix it. I’m really debating what to do about this company now. Just think about it still pisses me off to no end!

I don’t know much about Macrosystem other than what I said in this video but I did see they have newer machines for editing for sell software. That sounds like some bad luck!

Is there any way to view the comments on the Focus G review you made? Like a pdf or text file or something?
@whatcraphaveyouboughtnow54742 жыл бұрын
There might be but I’m not sure why you’d want to see them, mainly people justifying their purchases or telling me I don’t know what I’m on about. It was a review, my opinion. I’m not new to PC case design.
@gustaveliasson53952 жыл бұрын
@@whatcraphaveyouboughtnow5474 Partly because I wanted to leave a comment about the case, seeing as I've got a Core 2500 myself (the basis for the Focus G). Mostly though, it's because I'm legit curious about what happened there (TL;DR at bottom). Honestly, watching you abuse the side panel was so infuriating that I had to pause the video and reassure myself of how easy the side panels are to open and close (by vigorously opening and closing the panels on my own case for several minutes without incident). ...buuut apart from that, your observations line up pretty well with my own: * Thin steel. Yes, the build quality is good, but not enough to compensate for the inherent lack of stiffness in the construction material. * Uncleanable foam front panel dust filter. * No space for spare cables. * The HDDs/SSDs in the lower drive cage have to be mounted upside-down if you don't want to pinch the cables. * The motherboard flexes quite a bit unless both drive cages are mounted (the Focus G only comes with one). * Bottom filter is "good enough", but only for desktop use where you can lay the case on its side without unplugging everything. * It's just... cramped. Overall, the Core 2500 seemed like a decent, compact, subtle-looking workstation case, and the Focus G was trying to be something quite different, with predictable results. The front panel and bulged side panel are neat, but the window and the missing 2.5/3.5" drive cage... Meh. <<<TL;DR/Point>>> So it's like "Hey, this guy feels the same way I do", and "Wait, he got in trouble for that? No, really, what were the counter-arguments?". Smart choice would be to just move on, but like I said, I was curious.
@whatcraphaveyouboughtnow54742 жыл бұрын
I’ve just re-watch the video for the first time in two years and I don’t think I was harsh on the case when compared to other cases in the price range. As I said Fractal have a reputation for making quality cases. Side panels that latch isn’t too big of an ask, standard feature on cheaper cases. I’ve enabled the comments for you to have a look if you wish. Some people don’t like the truth, I think I demonstrate that. I agree with what you have to say but I stick with my thoughts on the side panels.
