Love Anthony Warlow's voice. When he got sick, I didn't want to see Phantom without him. Waited year &:years u till he thankfully recovered. Went to see him in Phantom. Ended up sitting next to another lady who had done the same thing. We both turned & said "YES!! When his voice came through in the prologue. Worth the wait!!❤❤❤

Warlow battled non Hodgkins Lymphoma. The treatments caused him to lose his gorgeous voice and doctors told him that essentially his singing career was over. He focused on his health, and once he was cancer free, he went to a vocal coach for retraining. His incredible performance of “I Need to Know” was his first time getting back into recording.

I consider Anthony Warlow to be the Daniel Day Lewis of MT actors. The way how he is able to manipulate his voice so that each character sounds different…listening to Confrontation on the ‘94 Jekyll and Hyde album, it’s hard to tell that it’s the same dude playing both parts.

As an Asian-American, Although there is a heavy accent and the lyric translation is pretty terrible, your friend did a fantastic job nonetheless since the lyric is readable from hearing and the song is pretty great. Overall if rated... a 6.5/10 (not too shabby).

I was lucky enough to see Warlow in Jeckyl and Hyde in the one-off Sydney production a few years ago. It was done (at least partially) in concert format and the years have past on Anthony's voice a bit but he was still amazing. Frankly, he without peer. I'd pay money just to see him walk onto a stage.

Thank you for posting this interview. I have admired Anthony Warlow for many years, having first heard him when the JEKYLL/HYDE CD came out. His technique has always intrigued me; it's always so pure (he treats his vocal instrument very well), while still managing to expertly convey the meaning of the song. I've never heard anyone else like him. So, I really appreciated hearing about his early training and career.
